Automakers clearly want to drive up the average vehicle price. Most of them stopped making affordable vehicles because people would buy them and ruin the average ticket for dealers. Ford for example has no cars at all except for the Mustang. It's SUV or Truck only.

What ever chance it had getting that money for the big beefy reliable 6.4 V8 they had in the Series 3 last year. That is gone this year. Well the sales too also just disappeared for jeep with these baby sized engines with a mass of turbos on it. Problem city when asked to tow anything! I’d pass and get the V8 Escalade and also pass on the baby V6 Lincoln Navigator. Also much too big like this for a baby engine.

All of the price increase isn't due to labor costs, but a good chunk. Thank government dictating what your car or truck are required to have for options and mandatory equipment, I'd bet that close to $30k of this trucks price is government mandated items.
The insurance companies are watching these prices and not liking what they're seeing. A 20 mph impact on the front corner sets off 5-7 airbags, blows the upholstery and dash apart, pretty much totaling the vehicle.

At least you have something valuable when you pay off your mortgage. If you keep the Jeep long enough to pay it off, it will be worth next to nothing and still burning through your money as it sits in the repair shop.

Drove a Wagoneer and a Navigator L. Definitely different things about each, Wagoneer has more power for sure but the Navigator seems more refined but rides a bit harder. Looking to buy the Lincoln but waiting for used pricing to drop some more. They both drop value quick with the Wagoneer dropping more from what I’ve seen.
