    Can you please discuss software to use to upload our CD's so we can listen to them on a streamer/server like Aurender, HiFi Rose, etc? I used Windows 10's Media Player, which works great on my laptop or my Oppo 203, but my Aurender A20 hates the Wav files. I guess I need to rerip my CDs using different software. But which one? And I was told I also need a program that can check & fix my albums' "metadata". Again, no clue what program to use for that. Any recommendation would be very helpful. Thx

      WAV files are fully compatible with Aurender products. Our guess is yes, you have some metadata issues. We would recommend either JRiver or dBpoweramp for ripping CDs and do some file data management.
      If you don't have a good ripper, this one works with these programs on a Windows machine: www.moon-audio.com/astell-kern-ak-cd-ripper-mkii.html
      For mapping your server to your Windows machine for easy transfer, please see here: www.moon-audio.com/how-to-map-your-streamer-server

      @@moon-audio Thx! Streaming & servers are way more work than they should be. Aurender can't even do "compound" searches (such as by singer's name + album or song name).

    I'm pretty new to all this. I just bought a portable DAC for my iPhone. I'm torn between Tidal and Quboz. Are they really the best for Hi Res? Also, which one is best? Thanks for the video!

      Both Tidal and Qobuz are the most well known for lossless music, but services like Apple Music and Amazon Music also have lossless options. We personally use Tidal and Qobuz here in the office when testing out equipment and demoing products. They both have free trials, and we'd recommend trying out both and seeing which one you enjoy the most. They also have slightly different music libraries, so make sure your choose the service that matches the music you want to listen to! 🙂

    My music is available on a free downloading website. If people download it and play it directly in their phone. Is it going to count as streaming ? Plz

    Naim Unity Atom - what a stunning design and apparently the sound is also great. Anybody is using it and can share experiences?

    So basically I was streaming 30 years ago, streaming from my CD player to my speakers?

    • @BigBaller-he1dz
      @BigBaller-he1dz Před 2 měsíci

      No. Your cd player was hooked to your receiver via rca cables. Streaming means you do it wireless over a wifi network.

    Why waste money when you can use smartphonone and DAC?

    • @moon-audio
      @moon-audio  Před 4 měsíci

      We have a lot of customers who prefer larger, desktop systems! But when it comes to portability, a smartphone and dongle DAC can be a great option too. Check out our Best Portable DACs of 2023 here: www.moon-audio.com/blog/video-best-portable-dacs-2023 🙂

    Accessibility: you won't have thousands of albums to listen to when the internet is down, so only a fool wouldn't have a library on a hard drive, and cds.

      It’s not practical to download and store for people who have hundreds or thousands of albums they might listen to.
