- A clock I originally made with Will Jackson in 1996. Its been on Southwold pier since 2001, exposed to extreme weather. I just finished restoring it so its now working perfectly again. It even now tells the right time.

Over 20 years outside in the salty air is a testament to your engineering skills. Yes not everything works of yours right of the bat, but when has that stopped you. Keep solving those problems!
Tim Hunkin is the Heath Robinson of the 21st century true genius inventions. You should be back on TV Tim!
Creative, humorous, spectacular.
Brilliant machine, with some very naughty features, hope it ticks on for a whole century... :D
What it must be to have the imagination and intelligence to invent such a machine and to make somebody smile at the same time. :D Absolutely wonderful!
Before I see the name I knew this had Tim Hunkin written all over it lol. I will always love The Secret life of machines series that’s watched as a kid!
Wow I've never seen any water clocks before in my entire life.
It's very nice.
WOW, great contraption !!!!.
Me encanta esta obra! Me encantaría ir a verla algún día. Todos tus trabajos me gustan por esa chispa de historia que tienen y esos guiños de historias corrientes que perduran en el tiempo.

Made me smile :-)
1:21 oh my Eyes!!!
I saw you on Tuesday and was going to say "hello" but you had your head in the "Whack a banker" and was in two minds.
Excellent Machine. A few questions spring to mind...
How accurate is it?
Is the clock time controlled by the running water?
If yes, would a heavy downpour put it out of whack/run too fast?
And most importantly, any chance of doing a new series/update/remake of "The secret life of Machines" the greatest TV show ever.
I m curious to know your same questions.
"Most people seemed much more interested in watching the water powered chiming performance than the clock mechanism, so we decided to cheat. The hands and pendulum are now powered electrically." - TH

Gary Alexander Thanks for the link, although I think Tim is a bit hard on himself by calling it cheating when he had to rebuild it from scrap and decided to power the pendulum and hands.
Don’t cross the streams.
