  • This is a tutorial following-up with the explanation video I made of the benefit of using a BengKung wraps while postpartum to gently guide the organs, including the uterus, back into place, support and strengthen the back during breastfeeding & gently closing the womb portal after the initiation of (re)birth. It is an excellent alternative to the closing of the bones which you can conduct yourself.
I'll be discussing that ceremony more in upcoming posts, so stay on the lookout. Enjoy this video! đŸ€

    FAQ:
    Q) What is a birth attendant or birth keeper? How is that different from a doula?
    A) A birth attendant is a witness and supportive person who holds space for the spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, & psychological wellbeing of pregnant women during childbirth. How this is done varies depending on the training, skills, education, or specialties of each birth worker (the field and occupation of birth attendants, doulas, midwives, etc.)
Birth attendants understand that birth is sacred and trust in your ability to birth uninterrupted and simply share resources for you to be better equipped for the process through things such as classes, demonstrations/tutorials, physical products, etc. Birth keepers and attendants are not limited to the restrictions & regulations of doula organizations (which coincide to governmental policy and protocol) & typically have a more spiritual & traditional/ancestral approach toward preconception, prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care. Therefore, they are free to adapt, claim, and flow because there is no solid definition.
A doula does similar work but they are regulated by an institution and are often found supporting those in spaces where governmental policy is enforced such as in hospitals or birth centers. Sometimes these words are used interchangeably by the person so it's important to clarify what the birth worker is offering and how they can support you.
