I think the violins sound great on this. Plus the violinists are gorgeous. If you don't like it, there's 5000 Saxon concerts available where you can hear Crusader with just guitar. If you feel 30 year old songs should be played exactly the same way forever you might want to get your head examined. Open your minds a little. For Wacken I'm sure the band felt they should add something special, and they did.

I saw Saxon for the first time way back in 1984 in Mainz Germany. My first heavy metal concert and this was the first metal song I heard live. This song kicked butt back then - I see they still kick butt in 30 years later. Especially those drums by Nigel Glockler - sounds like a galloping horde of Crusader steeds and swords clanging.B-)
