I think my only big concern was that the mobile orders weren’t working, so if you were taking a work break and couldn’t move to a personal computer, you may have been sol for that reason.
I had to have my roommate at home login to my computer and get them for me as I couldn't do it while I was on break. It drove me up the wall thank God they were off of work yesterday
I ordered mine off my phone and didn't have any problem doing so.

Great video! City Styles was by far my favorite secret lair just for the art alone. Also it helps that all the cards are worth about 130 non-foil.
This seems like the trend with the return of the limited run model, one or two will sell out almost immediately and the rest will have to wait and see. Its a question on what is done with the leftover lairs are they disposed of, prize support, bonus for the convention at home.
They also say in the description that this is the 1st of 4 drops, so I assume that means we will be seeing another 3 Hatsune Miku secret lairs in the near future? Something to think about if you missed out on this one, the cards in this one were meh, maybe you got lucky and can save your cash for a better one thats coming up!
But how will I complete me Miku set without this one?
Got in early and grabbed a foil for myself to keep. Coulda grabbed a couple extras to flip but I'm not a dbag.

I was a person that used to buy several secret lairs, now that if you follow the trend so many secret lairs get reprints of the base card sometime in the next year. They are just trying to focus on the reason why these actually sell, FOMO. If you’re not looking for monetary gain reselling or really like the secret lairs don’t buy. There will always be better and cooler secret lairs you need to have 😊
I noticed this myself. I look at what's in the lairs leading up to the next set to see what kind of reprints will happen.

And I guess you weren't aware of that secret lair started off at 24 hours and then persistently got longer. The Met summer super drop with the Godzilla lands had one drop come out per day
I hate the new model where its limited its like a rush job and i dont have time to get a chance to by cause i work weird hours. 😅
All Secret Lairs up to the Rats were 24 hour windows.
Im surprised the miku didnt sell out a little sooner actually but it could have been just that long to have people in line and process.

The Seedborn Muse promo was gone about an hour before the Hatsune drop sold out individually. I got mine, and a friend who tried ordering it about 5 minutes later missed out. On my order sheet, the promo added itself as a $0.00 item. They didn't see that behavior in their cart, and customer service confirmed they were out of stock and he missed out.
Original Secret Lair was a 24-hour window.
I really wanted the miku set. I was so disappointed to see it sold out
Interestingly in Europa the hatsune miko drop is still available. Other drops are sold out though
I haven’t bought one in a while but I love goblins and couldn’t pass that specifically the rest didn’t do anything for me. To each their own, no hate just buy what you like and play what you like 😊
Yeah I’m not familiar with a lot of wizards retail and what not. I don’t play mtg, was just interested in the collab and hoped it could be a great gateway to learn more. I had a medical appointment (I would rather not disclose) so this definitely wasn’t something on my mind and didn’t check the sale until this morning. Honestly, glad I missed it. If this is how products are sold for mtg I don’t want any part in it

I'm that guy. Set my alarm for 11:30 EST, then buy the Secret Lairs for the boys.
Bought 4 Foil Mikus 2 SaNS mErCy and one Poker Faces to split amongst us.
I got 1 Miku and Poker, 1 Miku and sans mercy for one guy, a Yu-Gi-Oh player wanted 2 Mikus(One to open one to speculate) and the last guy just wanted Sans Mercy.
I get the seedborn, because I ordered.
Funniest thing is the players who were bagging on the Miku collab. Don't know that she is one of the biggest IPs in the world. There are more fans of Miku than there are mtg fans + players in the world.
That $1000 secret lottery vault is a slap in the face to anyone who purchased Fallout Collectors edition. Did pick up vault boy reflecting pool for $5 so that was pretty sweet.
I got the mana vault from whatnot I pre order one still at work I haven’t got to open it to see if I get another one.

It (foil versions) sold out between the time I added it to my cart and the time I checked out. Smh, super bad timing on my part. I couldnt figure out why it wouldnt let me check out and when I refreshed it had removed the foil versions from my cart, so I had to check out with just the non-foil. Oh well, happy I got something at least. Funny because I hate the fact I bought it, I usually only buy SL if they have a good card value and this one DOES NOT, but the collectibility of it drew me in. I'm a sucker for the hype I guess. Hahaha

What the hell how do you actually buy these things? I signed up for the email thing so it would "notify" me when it dropped and now I'm watching a video about it being sold out with no email or even knowing it came up for sale

Pre-ordered Miku both in foil and non-foil
Managed to snag 3 non foil english mikus and 1 japanese non foil mikus
I ordered my foil Miku lair at opening. I started with a 30 minute queue but it wound up taking less than 15 minutes.
While I'm glad that I got it (I wanted it as a secret lair since it was announced because I like Miku), I believe that secret lairs should adopt a mix of the methods. Make there be a limited *immediate* stock so people can get it shipped ASAP, and then allow people to buy it at an upcharge and just make it very clear that it can take up to 6 months to ship. I know that it's not likely to happen but there isn't a reason WotC can't do it, the secondary market prices don't effect them. However, I will also take this method over literally not being able to order off the Hasbro site because it literally refuses to process the order.
Did they announce the exact date and time for the release? Cuz I would have prepped for it

Yessir, got the foil Miku and the foil Sans Mercy.
Also, you cannot leave the site and go to CZcams or somewhere else while waiting. It pushed my time back ten minutes. So then i just kept it open and no prob.
That explains why my queue was jumping forward so fast. I started with a 30 minute queue and it took less than 15 (I believe around 8), so I figured people were leaving the tab or heading back to work/school.

I almost never comment, but figured I’d share my personal experience with this one-
Not that I care anymore, but I missed this drop because I was focused on trying to help take care of my family for several days after my grandmother had a medical emergency, which she ultimately isn’t going to survive.
Needless to say, I wasn’t paying attention to the Secret Lair release, and by the time I remembered, it was too late of course. I think the bitter taste this has left finally solidifies the decision not to continue purchasing these products, which in a way is a positive I’m sure. Best of luck to anyone still trying to buy upcoming drops- no judgement here.
Sorry for what you are going through, that definitely takes precedence.

I got the EN Miku non- foil and foil for my daughter. She freaked when I showed her the spoilers. She was going through her Pokémon binder looking for a way to make room 🤣

I am actually happy there have been no secret lairs I wanted at least the last half year... It's just so speculative with good cards. As they soon got reprints short after mostly.... Plus bonus cards mostly beeing trash. At least the once I got 😅

What annoys me about these releases is I sign up to be alerted when some SLs go on sale, but I've literally never gotten an email when they do. Then they sell out, womp womp.

I logged in at noon central time with no wait, everything was available. Nothing spoke to me and I decided to not buy the miku fir investment because I already have too much sealed products as investments

The problem with secret lairs now is that it is a prime scalping target. Secondary marketers will buy up a bunch of products to resell later at a higher price, which is disgusting. It's a terrible practice. I think he called it a "speculative probuct," but that kind of buying and reselling would normally be illegal in other industries. It's actively hurting the game.
I'm interested to know if secret lair is cannibalizing sales from standard sets. Like if you dumped $200 on lairs did you forego buying a booster box of the newest set?
It's funny that if this is an EA or Ubisoft game, just has one day time limit like this alone, people will scream all over internet.
But becos this is MTG, which has become more and more like Stock + Crypto + mobile game now aday. People just suck it all up.

If you bought these secret lairs, did you buy they to put them in decks, in binders as a collector, or as an investment? From what I have seen, most people are buying these and the mh3 collector precons as investments hoping they go up, not to play with.

I guess I don’t know for sure yet, but I already kinda regret speccing Hatsune Miku. I just don’t see how the price doesn’t crash with the amount of people who bought it just to resell, and with how easy it was to get if you actually wanted it.

@@controlaltdeleteish unfortunately for some, there was a roughly 20 minute window where it was already out of stock, but they hadn't updated the top frame to show that. So people ordering it expecting to get it had no idea. The only way to tell was if it added itself to your order list as a $0.00 line item and then clicked to finalize your purchase before it was actually gone. Had a few friends miss out but not realize it, then refreshed the page and saw the banner changed :/

Better than in the past???? yes it is better than the original trials (before the name of secret lair) BUT… as far as secret lair sale is concerned… this is one of the worst. Even the hated walking dead one was better than this.
