University of Galway - MSc Sustainability Leadership Study Trip to Bologna Business School, Italy

🎥 Elevate Your Career with MSc Sustainability Leadership at University of Galway!
📸 In April our students visited University of Bologna Business School at Villa Guastavillani campus, a splendid 16th century residence. Bologna Business School (BBS) is the international business school of the University of Bologna, the oldest university in the world. Its mission is to shape a new generation of business leaders, capable of driving international growth and digital transformation, with a view to sustainability. This annual trip is the international component of module Field Trips: Leading Sustainable Business Transformation.
💡 Each morning, we listened to established professors speak on topics ranging from the latest research on sustainability to urban and agricultural transition. We also collaborated with students on the Masters in Sustainability Transition Management at BBS, thus allowing our students to build a global network of contacts with shared values.
🔗 Afternoons saw us leaving the university to visit organisations in the local region who are leading on sustainability transition and learn from industry thought leaders in the sustainability space.
🌐 Amongst the many highlights of the trip was the visit to Eta Beta, an innovative social enterprise dedicated to fostering social inclusion and rehabilitation. Eta Beta is a social cooperative that offers therapeutic and rehabilitation programs, as well as work placement services for disadvantaged individuals.
🌟 The trip to Bologna was not only rewarding in an academic and professional sense but it also afforded our students the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Bologna. The group departed Bologna with a deeper appreciation of the power of collaboration, innovation, and social enterprise in driving sustainable development within our communities and wider society.
