    This is a very informative video. I just ordered three bands and now I know how I’m going to install them confidently.

    That's exactly watch i did with my 965. Now, i have a bunch quick fit watch bands 👌😎

    Would love to see a review on some good stretch band options. So many to choose from. It would be nice to know a couple brands that are good or those to stay away from.

    Thanks, I did it like you showed. Now I got a velcro band that feels good and makes my 955 Solar weigh less than 42 gramms - including band.

    Awesome video. Garmin - this should be standard. Your customers have been doing unnecessary workarounds for years now!

    Yeah, had the 255 returned for the 955 but miss the less chunkiness of the 255 and the heart rate bump definitely raises the watch but the touch screen, memory and mapping sold me. Thanks for the quick fit overview, is odd that the lower priced options have that but the upper echelon do not.

    Thanks! Very helpful, not sure why watchbands on amazon don't ship with this information!

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Před 9 měsíci

      Ha! I know - the key is the fact that the 955 and the 965 have extra fat watch pins which makes the quick fit functional. If it was a standard watch pin it would not be. Thanks!

    Thanks for the video, Hunter. Any speculation on why Garmin doesn’t just copy the system on the Fenix and port it over to the Forerunner series?? I feel like they have to know it’s something we’ve asked for. Seems very Apple-esque of them to not listen to their customers 😂

    Use the flat bit of the swiss army (the one with the file) far safer. Took my Pop to urgent care for misusing the super sharp blade on one of those knives, stuck through his finger, had to get stitches to close up, not fun. Those knives are surgical steel sharp.

    Love the snowflake watch face on the 955. Where did you get that from?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Před rokem +1

      Good question! That might have been the morning report, but I do believe there's a watch face that mirrors its style. I don't know the name specifically unfortunately because it's been a while since I tested it.

    Thanks for the video Hunter. Do you think the fat spring bar will fit the quick release mount for Garmin 945? Thanks

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes and no. So really I’m not sure. It should but the original 945 had a screw in band style, so I can’t say for sure.

    Hey, thanks for this video, can you try putting the quick release band from the 255 on the 955 and tell us if it works? I would like to buy quick release band instead of quick fit because quite cheaper. Thanks!

      @@fitgearhunter thanks! Hard to find the info on the web. It seems the pins inside the watch may be different and make it not compatible. Let’s see!

    FR 955 can use FR 255 strap , right ? seen both are same size.

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Před rokem

      Hey! Sort of, but also not really. The 955 uses a fat bar and the 255 a thinner one I think. Technically they are the same so it may work, though.

  • @tgielbutowicz
    @tgielbutowicz Před 9 měsíci

    May I ask what is the distance between the band pins? Is there a chance that it is somewhat similar to the Fenix 7, and will it fit the Fenix bike mount?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes for sure on same size as F7 - the only way it can convert to QuickFit as an option is to be the same 22mm width and have the thicker pin size. Can't speak to bike mount but I bet so!

    • @tgielbutowicz
      @tgielbutowicz Před 9 měsíci

      @@fitgearhunterThanks, but I was asking for distance between bands mounts, not the band width. Measure from one pin to another.

    can you do the same with the 255?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Před 2 lety

      Good question! Not really. You could, however, try to hunt down some 22mm fat pins and then try it. The band holes are a bit smaller so use typical more thin diameter bands that might not feel right with the quick fit.
