I picked up 2 of these and the parallel cable. Pre-tax price was 3999. I was back and forth on the Delta Pro Ultra but ultimately chose this. Reason being, with 2 units I can charge each on 110, can get up to 4800w of solar, and I don't really need more than 7000 watts for home backup. Additionally, I can just grab one for camping or other events versus trying to bring the DPU. This just seemed like the better option all around.

I had the exact same dilemma and for mostly the same reasons. I just wonder if the cable for expansion battery will allow you to place them side by side instead of stacking them? I think you made the perfect choice.

@@mannys4036 I didn't get an expansion battery but it looks like it should based on the manual. I'll probably pick up a couple of expansion batteries here in the future, but for now the combined capacity of both of the head units will serve me just fine. I'll just have to run the gas genny a little more often until I can save up the money for a pair of batteries. The other nice thing about going with the dual head-units is the double solar input. 4800w vs 2400w makes a big difference.

Great review! The specs are amazing, and options for use are numerous. Just what I want for doing comparisons for my various needs.
I especially like the wide range on PV input, many times either the voltage or the amperage is the restrictor.
Currently, for this use, I have 2 Renogy 1000s, that combine for split phase 240 to run my well pump. They have worked for almost two years and I spent $1500 for the two and the hub.
This setup through Dabbsson, is far more powerful and the charge rate through PV 4 times more. The cost is also 3 times more but this is way more versatile.
    Thanks!!

Thank you for the review. I purchased the DBS2300Plus from Amazon. I received the DBS2300. It was several months before I realized the mistake so I just kept it. I'm impressed with the station. I've been thinking about purchasing the DBS3500 but was waiting for a review. So, again, thank you for the video!

    Hi David,
Another great power station review. That really is a nice machine with it's semi-solid state LifePo4 batteries. If it can go to 4000 charges and still retain an 80% charge after that, it is well worth the money. It does well on the capacity test also just like the 2300.
I'm a little surprised by the 88lbs. weight though, I thought it would be lighter being equipped with semi-solid state batteries but then again it is over 3000wh. I am happy to see they did include wheels on this unit. All in all, a very good price at that $2200 to $2300 price point for the semi-solid state batteries, the 5 year warranty, the build quality, the features it has and the best app. I have ever seen with a power station. Good stuff.
    Take care, Steve.

In this one you mentioned doing a video of parallel operation. Any idea on when that one will drop? My units just arrived the other day but I haven't had the chance to hook them all up yet. I am definitely interested in your thoughts after hooking them up in parallel. I got the parallel box as a free bonus when I bought both of the DBS3500's and am looking forward to trying it myself. I'll likely get the opportunity this coming weekend. I'll post any feedback to this (or the new video) comment thread once I have the chance to unbox everything and set it all up.

Great video. Dabbson looks good 'cept it's a total deal breaker (for me) given how, yet another solar power station manufacturer, has insisted on poor expansion battery cable location/mitigation. Point being, the ginormous expansion battery cable "bow" substantially increases the unit's footprint, which limits options/places users can put these units, especially those wanting to use them in an RV :'(

I realize you will be doing a video on paralleling these together, but hopefully you can answer a quick question in the meantime. Can you charge the group at 240V when paralleled using a single port on the parallel box? If so, what is the maximum charge wattage? On a single unit, The car charging port seems like it would be useful for higher powered charging, but I don’t think I’ve even seen a 120V EVSE unit above 1800 watts, if that much. After these, they seem to be 240V, and as we know an EVSE is merely a high priced smart extension coed with a microcontroller, relays, and some fault detection circuitry. All voltage conversions happen on-board the device (car) being charged. Thanks, JC

    • @dabbsson_official1209
      @dabbsson_official1209 Před 3 měsíci

Hello JC, the DBS3500 can't charge at 240V outlet when connecting to parallel box. You can only do solar charging or the car cigarette port charging while parallel connecting. For EV station charging, we do have a maximum 3400W charging speed at 120V station.

High frequency, transformerless inverter systems like these offer short life expectancies and offer much poorer peak power capacities for starting high inductance loads. A much better choice is to purchase a low frequency, transformer based inverter.

@@dabbsson_official1209 Thank you for your answer. I just purchased the DBS3500 with an extra battery. Can I set up when the unit pulls AC. For example, my Ecoflow Delta Pro can be setup to only pull AC after the battery has gone down to 20% (this can be adjusted). I also have a DBS2300 plus with extra battery.

@@garytrawinski1843 Thanks for your trust in our brand! The DBS3500 has a time management where you can decide the start time and the end time of charging at any time of the day on App. But for now we don't have the function to charge it according to the battery level. However, if you are looking to expand the battery life as long as possible, rest assure that the EV Semi-solid LFP battery we use can charge to 100% without affecting the battery life and we had been looking in to ways to add the function as well.
