  • let's learn about the different tools and technologies that make up AI! we'll learn where ChatGPT falls and what it, and similar tools, are good at. and then we explore other types of AI, like machine learning, computer vision, and more!
    this is a great general introduction to the world of AI, no prior knowledge needed! (and no math in this one 🙃)

      @@JenFoxBot using chatgpt for programming is so cool, you just have to be specific about what you are trying to do, for example I'm trying to get python to read Electricity bills that I get sent by email and store that information in a database and it helped me out 🤘🏽😊

    Great video! I've been meaning to start my own CZcams video series on AI in another language for a while. Do you have any tips for me?

      Meaning talking about AI to reach an audience whose native language is not English?
      In general, id say try to understand what their needs and problems are, then help folks learn skills to tackle those!

      @@JenFoxBot Yep. Well, there's yet to be a "they" because I haven't uploaded anything yet. But the other day I bellied up to the bar and tried recording the first video, watched it 10 times over, didn't like it, re-recorded, rinse and repeat for 2 hours until I gave out. This things harder than I took it to be!

      @@theodoremercutio1600 hah! yes, making content is very hard, much harder than it looks. that said, just post something! even if you hate it, even if you think it's bad. just get started. my older videos are pretty cringey, but i've gotten much better over time. the same will be true for you -- practice is the only way to get better.
      it helps to know WHY you're doing videos. for me, i have some content related goals (e.g. teaching people skills and knowledge in STEM subjects) and some personal goals (e.g. improving my public speaking)

    Hii Jen I am Aditya, an old subscriber and pursuing masters in physics
    My question is "what are best resources for learning AI (books, online tutorials , courses)?"
    One more question why are you so beautiful?😅

      that's awesome you're pursuing an MA in physics! why are you looking to learn AI slash what are you aiming to do with it? lots of resources I could point you to, knowing your why/what will be helpful for me to narrow to a specific recommendation

    Roughly speaking, how long does it take to train a model to do basic search tasks. For example how long would it take to train a model to learn how to merge sort on it's own. Are there any tools to measure this kind of complexity?

    • @JenFoxBot
      @JenFoxBot  Před 2 měsíci

      Machine Learning (ML) tasks are narrower in scope than LLMs like ChatGPT. ML models take less time and compute, but it depends on the scenario and how accurate you want the model to be.
      For example, if you want to use natural language to do a search, it's much more complex than keyword lookup because natural language search requires some "intent" understanding. It's similar to how Apple Home is set up - you can control objects via keywords (e.g. "turn the lights off"), but you can't ask Siri to "put the house to bed."
      LLMs like GPT-4 cost tens of millions of dollars and thousands of hours (and servers) to train. An individual or small company can train an ML model on their own using tools like Edge Impulse. I'm not super familiar with search models.. is this kind of model what you're looking for? --> huggingface.co/qihoo360/360Zhinao-search

      @@JenFoxBot Thank you so much for the detailed reply! I have a lot to learn I guess as I'm not really familiar with most of these ideas in any real depth. I wish I had time to dive in and learn more about all this stuff but currently my free time is taken up by learning other curiosities that I can't seem to put down just yet :)
