Blair didn’t want thousands and thousands of dollars spent on her, she wanted her mum to put more thought and effort into her presents. Seeing your sister get exactly what she wanted but you get the same thing over and over again Is not heartwarming. It’s the thought that counts and the only thing she was really happy about was the scrunches which shows that she didn’t want loads of money , she just wanted something that she liked. And Nina kept saying I’ll take you to buy more stuff, which is what showed me that she even knew she didn’t put in enough effort. I love Nina but not on this one. And I know it’s not about the presents , and Blair didn’t see it like that. She saw the favoritism. All the energy in the room was focused on Nicolette

I feel bad for Nina too though. Nicolette makes it well known what she likes and doesn’t and seems pretty easy to shop for but Blair is very different in that she’s not outspoken in that kind of stuff. Idk. I see it from both sides for sure but it was so cute how she got so happy with the scrunchies.

I’m her age and honestly I’m not spoiled or anything but I would have reacted the same way 😂
I feel Nicolette isn’t as bad of a person as people portray her to be, she seems like she really cares about her sister and family, and just over all seems like a caring person, however, what I didn’t like is how when Blair was upset because Nicolette got more presents, her mom just kept opening presents and saying “we’ll make it up to you” and “we will buy you whatever you want” while Nicolette actually seemed to care, and tried to make her feel better. And I feel like sometimes adults don’t understand that what kids love about opening presents on Christmas is the surprise of what they’re going to get not going to a shop and buying whatever they want, because that feeling just isn’t the same.
No..actually her mom tried to make the atmosphere casual because she is the mom..if she will start feeling upset blair will cry and would feel bad even more...and nicolette is her sister so they share a diff bond and thats why its better if they she caress her than her mom..its very psychological. U know when a baby cry because they fell or feel embarrassed, u (adults)dont wanna give them more attention and keep staring at them because they would feel the attention and panic even more and cry even more because they would feel embarrassed or loved...but when they are with kids they dont care that much so they get over things easily .its not easy being a mom..u have to tackle each situation differently with each kid.
This is so sad, Blair didn’t cry cause she got less gifts, she cried because obviously her mom gave more attention in buying more stuff and favored Nicolette more. Nina tried so hard to cheer her up after but these situations doesn’t really happen only on Christmas but probably everyday. I feel really bad for Blair cause she always gets second hand treatment

I can relate. I’m 12 and I wanted a laptop and a new phone. I at least only wanted one but if it wasn’t much I would really like both. I have a 5 year old brother and my parents spent 1,000 dollars on my brother’s presents. And I only got 100 dollars for Christmas. I was really sad and disappointed so I returned everything I got for my parents.

Everyone is saying that Blair shouldn’t be sad because some kids get nothing, but she’s younger and sitting there watching her older sister open present after present, all designer brands and really special gifts, while she gets 5 of the same hoodie and t shirt and some scrunchies, yes a Cartier love ring is super special but Nicolette got one of those too! Even Nina said I didn’t get you bags because you didn’t ask for any, but kids shouldn’t have to ask for gifts to be treated like their siblings, it’s not Blair’s fault she didn’t ask Nina for 3 different designer bags. People say that she should stop being upset because of the kids who get nothing, but the reality is Nina has the funds to spoil them, so that’s what it’s like for them. Everyone just needs to get over it, you can’t hate on people for earning more money than you.

Even if Nina donated as much as she spent on her kids it wouldn’t stop kids from dying, I hate when people relate dying children to Christmas and what people receive, I’m a nurse and a midwife, I’ve looked after patients who are dying and I’ve brought life into this world, I have as much compassion as anyone for those less fortunate, I donate to villages in Africa and hospital charities, but forcing kids to feel bad for getting presents won’t do any good, it does more harm.

Terrible parenting on behalf of their mother. Blair should have gotten more love and attention. The fact that she was so happy when she got the scrunchies just goes to show that she doesn't care about how much it costs. Also, the fact that she just got the same (type of) present over and over again, shows that her mother did not put as much thought and effort into her presents as she did with Nicolette. It saddens me deeply to see the favouritism, I hope that Blair will receive more love and equal treatment to her sister this year.
Their mother should stop spoiling Nicolette so much and focus more of her attention on Blair, who seems to be needing her mother's affection the most.

I feel so sorry for Blair. Everyone in the comments is saying how she should be grateful that her gifts were still so expensive. But, she was literally happier with scrunchies than a $1000 ring. Blair just wanted thought to go into her presents and everything Nicolette received was "oh I knew you wanted that", but Blair didn't get the same treatment.
