jesus Salgado the older Mexican ladies on the bus are always friendly, when I’m lost I always try to ask an older Mexican lady for help, they treat me like I’m one of their kids and explain in detail what I need to do, lol. My mom is the same way with helping out people, helps that I know Spanish for sure tho lol

Nicolette has shown a lot of down to earth attitudes. A lot of grown up people have huge card debts for over spending money they don’t have. Nicolette might usually be able to afford anything she wants, but when she knew she had just 10 bucks for a day, she knew how to make it work: she calculated times walking/bus, etc. And even got mad at her mom for over tipping. Way to go, girl! 🙌🏻

I have a few friends who sold their cars and invest the money they save each year (i.e. oil changes, repairs, gas, tires, etc - adds up) instead...so far so good for them. Also far better for the environment :-)

when my single mom was pregnant with me, she took the bus to work and back everyday. and we took the bus almost everywhere or walked until I was 5. till this day I take the bus to my college and to the gym. while there are grown women who have never stepped foot in one, it's so crazy.
i feel this. my family has always struggled financially and i've legit been taking the bus for as long as i can remember. my mom would bring my sister and i on them when we were little and then at a young age we started taking them ourselves. we've never had a car and i'll help her take the bus with heavy groceries and bus to work and school and appointments to this day. and when buses don't run late i'll have to walk home for over an hour and a half from work past midnight. just crazy how some people truly don't realize how lucky they are and how much they take the little things for granted

It IS crazy, but it is just the circumstances that people are born into/live in. I've always grown up having a car and didn't realize how difficult it was to get to places without one until I had to start taking the bus to my first part-time job, so now I think I can fully appreciate the luxury of having a car.

I’m pretty sure Nina appreciates what she has. She was a single mother who started her own dental office and then opened two more. She then sold them all and now volunteers in low income dental offices. She worked very hard for all she has. Hopefully as Nicolette grows up she will appreciate all her mother did for her and become a hard working successful person herself. Who knows though?

I used to work at a casino, and people would get hot water and put ketchup in it, and make tomato soup. I put was always the people that took a bus, and went broke too fast, and were there all day, and naturally they get hungry. I really liked this video, because it puts a lot into perspective. You guys should do the no waste challenge.
