There's always a war on somewhere. When Gav's inquisitor brings them to a brewing conflict between the Black Templars and traitorous Word Bearers, he finds himself caught up in the conflict... and it may be that the Emperor, personally, needs Gav to be the one to turn the tide.

My heart was tenderly touched when Arry appeared and guided Gav, then Bob himself appearing almost made me cry. Traella is going to have so many stories that no one in the Inquisition will ever believe, and this one will be up there with the wildest.

I love the little glimpses we get of 'Arry really do show he was one of Ciaphas Cains pupils. He didn't yell at the Ogryns, he worked with them in ways they appreciated and they loved him. All of which meant he had a wall of titanic meatheads between him and the enemy at any given moment and just bad luck and an Ork Commando stopped him reaching a very nice retirement.
I somehow think Cain would be smarter than his pulil. He would position himself in the middle of the group.
I’m happy knowing that at least some of Cain’s pupils survived and are out there. Fighting as true heroes of humanity.
He named his gun Bob! My feels weren’t ready for this!!!

Meh, I could almost hear BFG Division myself, but either would work.
I was horribly afraid that the story was going to take a really dark turn and that Gav was actually being driven insane by the sword, and the Marines he was fighting in the beginning were hallucinations that were actually his friends trying to stop him. Not to mention 'arry and Bob, thought they might have been evil hallucinations too. One of the rare times I'm tremendously glad to be wrong.
Gav is not a silly boy, Gav makes the Emperor smile.

I remember reading that story back when it was a /tg/ thread. It packs more emotion than half Horus Heresy, better written and characterized than any of the dime-a-dozen "bolter porn" stories about space marines, and now it's voiced in a class of its own.

This is the best episode yet, you've outdone yourself! Also holy hell, Gav now has at least three traitor astartes on his kill count, thats bonkers considering most soldiers will never even see one, let alone kill one. He didn't lie when he said that only the Emperor's champion held that blade.

That "For the Emperor" hit so much harder than usual. This series is so well produced, I couldn't help but binge it in one sitting!
Where do I even start... The story: even though it's from a different writer it flows effortlessly well with the original stories. Same sentiments, same epic acale and same harrowing experiences.
The sound: The music was choice and fit the situations extremely well. AND THE SFX, MY WORD. Top level immersion. Absolutely beautiful.
The vocals: Yours were absolutely top notch, as always. Gav is completely yours. I can't imagine anyone else ever playing him. Adam was a breath of fresh air and a capable VA, a very welcome addition to the troupe!
I am ready and excited for the next part. ❤️
Words can't describe how engaging Gav's storyline is. So beautiful and yet so sad as well when it wants to be. I hope there will be more parts.

I'm not sure if it wouldve been heresy but it was a black templar chaplain, black templars don't like abhumans, they look at them as normal mutants, so he probably would've found some excuse to have Gav executed.
The chaplains are trained to recognize those who have been chosen by the black swords.
He would have known that this was the Emperor's will.

Actual tearjerker of a story, Gav is such a wholesome being and we could really do with more of that in the grimdark 40k universe

Imma save it for when I'm at home with my comfy blankets and tissues for crying.
This is the highest praise that can be given to a creator, in my opinion. Getting under those safe guards and provoking powerful emotion is a testament to a job well done.

I am convinced that Gav was once either the 2nd or 18th Primarch, but when he was on route to his new home planet, his pod or whatever was probably going around like a pinball, crash landing on the planet and then getting accidentally kicked by his new surrogate parent leading to brain damage that fucked up his brain development. Also, with how he seems to be growing with every tragedy and taking the theory that Primarchs have the souls of Warp Gods, I'd say his is a warp god of tragedy

This is genuinely one of the best 40k stories I’ve heard in a long time, 40 minutes flew by in what felt like seconds I was so captivated. Excellent work
The only thing better than seeing Gav kicking some chaotic ass would be a team up of Salamanders and Lamenters where surprisingly nothing ultra terrible goes wrong, but you know what I mean.
I want to also see some more Salamander and Lamenter stuff.

He spoke to Gav AND Grint. His eyes were glowing Gold, which usually means that the Emperor is giving someone a cheeky power boost.
No other 40k series has got me literally crying at least once every episode.
Truly exemplary work Vox. This video series is easily up there with TTSD in terms of required watching for 40k.
