I would recommend practicing on Hot Air Skyway. That was the most helpful map for me because there's 2 spots along the course where you have to U-turn

You didn't mention the sick music in drive thru danger easily my favourite music track in the entire game
I'm usually not very attatched to Crash music, but Drive-Thru Danger and Megamix Mania are easily my favorite songs in the franchise (that and Evil Twins from Twinsanity)

I honesty agree with number 1, not too difficult but keeps you invested.
As a fellow CTR CZcamsr (definitely a LOT smaller lol) I’ve just been having a blast and I’m glad that I discovered you Lewis and rock on! You deserve all the great subs for your content!
Now here’s my ranking of the tracks:
1. Koala Carnival because even though it is a circle, it is a fun circle and you can take many different stunt jumps and go at extremely fast speeds on it. I also play Ring Rally on this track the most.
2. Megamix Mania for basically the same reasons as you but not as high enough to top Koala Carnival in my opinion.
3. Drive Thru Danger because I love the layout and it has helped me get a lot better at U-turning.
4. Nina’s Nightmare because I like the spooky aesthetic of the track and the swirly room you have to take is very challenging and I like it.
5. Prehistoric Playground because it has pretty decent shortcuts that you can take but in online it is a DISASTER at the beginning with the first blue fire turbo pad.
6. Twilight Tour because while it is not the most interesting track among the bunch, it is a very good start to kick off the Grand Prix seasons and I like racing on it lol
7. Gingerbread Joyride and it’s not that I dislike this track at all and don’t find anything really wrong with it except maybe the shortcut at the beginning but I just like the other tracks listed above it a little better than this track. Definitely not bad at all in my opinion!
8. Spyro Circuit because at first I hated the layout of the track and dreaded racing on it every time but now I like it a lot more but I would still prefer the other GP tracks to this one. However it is aesthetically beautiful to the Spyro universe and again I don’t hate this track, it’s just my least favorite among all of the GP tracks.

@@WumpaLewis I think my list is heavily influenced by the amount I played during each Grand Prix though - I played much more during the ones higher up on my list (asides Prehistoric Pissground - hate it)

8. Koala Carnival - basically what you said: it's just a circle with not much exciting going on, looks beautiful though
7. Spyro Circuit - apart from the obstacles it's so much just driving straight forward, even at the floating platforms section, too many straight lines
6. Twilight Tour - quite fun to drive on, challenging to hold blue fire on, aesthetically a bit too dull for my taste
5. Prehistoric Playground - looks great, has fun shortcuts and good variation
4. Gingerbread Joyride - looks great too, although I share your opinion about its theme not fitting quite as much outside of christmas season, big learning curve to hold blue fire
3. Nina's Nightmare - really good theme and soundtrack, once you mastered holding blue fire through the corridor it starts to be really fun
2. Megamix Mania - great theme, soundtrack aesthetic everything, I just hate some of the a bit too narrow gaps between walls and mines in the later parts of the track
1. Drive Thru Danger - looks epic, so many shortcuts, huge learning curve, once you can hold blue fire through the entire track it becomes an incredible adrenaline rush

Spyro Circuit was decent but in my opinion it could've been so much more, it was labelled as an advanced Crash Cove, when it could of been an advanced Hyper Spaceway.

Tip for drive-thru danger and my top 8 list
Tip: after jumping the gap and go into the shortcut at 5:58 for some reason the left wall doesnt kill blue fire or any boosts if you run into it so use that to take advantage to angle yourself right...its easier in gameplay then explaining;;;

I managed to beat all Velo times last saturday. Im not sure if I would say they are harder than platinum relics, but they were quite a challenge

At last my favorite is prehistoric playground witch added in second season, I dont know why but I got that fake crash lamborghini skin at the first of the season without doing anything
I used to do something like the Spyro Circuit Beaker Spam against Emperor Velo in Crash Nitro Kart when I was a youngster. Static orbs and TNT placed just after the portals ensured Velo stayed behind me - this was fun, especially since the original Hyper Spaceway had more portals, and therefor more opportunities.
As much as you put nina’s nightmare at number 2, it’s still my number 1 fav. I love all the references to the evil twins and Madame Amberley. I really hope they’ll get added into the game soon!

8. Koala Carnival (like you said just a circle. Visually beautiful tho.)
7. Twilight Tour (kinda boring, nothing more to be said.)
6. Gingerbread Joyride (f*cking jelly blocks. Feels off after xmas.)
5. Nina's Nightmare (good track, not a fan of spooky themes tho.)
4. Spyro Circuit (aesthetically and atmospherically beautiful track. Especially after I played reignited trilogy.)
3. Prehistoric Playground (played this countless times and it never gets boring. Great track.)
2. Drive Thru Danger (fantastic track, love the sharp turns.)
1. Megamix Mania (one of my favorite in the whole game. Just freaking love this track.)

I wasn’t big on Nina’s Nightmare at first because I found it kind of dull. The background and themes were awesome, but I didn’t find the track layout to be anything special, but after I got good at it I’ve grown to like it a lot more. Koala carnival was my favorite when it came out as well, but after awhile it got boring. Drive thru danger and Megamix Mania are my top two. I like them all, but those two stand out to me the most. Good video 👍
It's funny my favorite is actually twilight tour. I can't say why I love it since it's been released. It feels so good to race on it.
Edit : actually my entire list is almost the perfect reverse of yours, though I agree that drive thru danger is really a cool track. The theme is very boring but the layout is insane and that music gets me on fire every single time

I wouldn’t say this is accurate for me anymore
I used your videos for some Beenox Crates. I have found executing the drifting/boosting/jump boosting to a touch harder than I can execute consistently so a lot of the shortcuts I caught in one of your time trial videos I just can't consistently make happen. I really liked Twilight Tour, Spyro Circuit, Nina's Nightmare, Prehistoric Playground, Gingerbread Joyride, Kola Carnival, and Megamix Mania... I hate DriveThru Danger--its like a worse version of Hot Air... I am with you on the shortness and basicness tied to Koala Carnival. I liked Gingerbread but I get what you are saying--one thing that ticks me off is the shortcut where you land around those two pink bushes--I can't seem to nail it 100% of the time. I agree about the jelly blocks LOL. Personally, after MK8DLX, I'd say this is the 2nd best kart racer out there on Switch.

My favourite gp track is drive thru danger although mega mix mania is a close second and my least favourite is spyro circuit as is has loads of sticking out walls and has no blue fire but I hate gingerbread joyride as well, as the first shortcut and jelly blocks are rage inducing but it is redeemed by the amazing visuals an the rest of the track is pretty well designed. every other gp track is in the middle for me meaning I neither like or dislike them.

The only thing that makes me dislike Spyro Circuit is really just the thing you mentioned with people putting beakers right at the portals, I've never done it myself because I really hate it.
I didn't like Drive-Thru Danger initially because I had no idea what was going on but after getting the hang of it and not falling off the track 10 times in each lap I really enjoyed it, it's pretty much the most insane track in the game and I appreciate they kept it for last.

1st Nina's Nightmare : great flow , the layout reminds me of the original CTR tracks (somehow Sewer Speedway)
2nd Drive-Thru Danger : very technical , it's a test for your skills
3rd Megamix Mania : it's very enjoyable overall ,also it's a little homage to Roo's Tubes
4th Prehistoric Playground : yet again a very enjoyable layout and i like the spiral section (similar to HAS)
5th Twilight Tour : nice layout overall , feels a bit empty tho
6th Gingerbread Joyride : the layout could have been better , hate the shortcut entry , not so much replay value because of it's Christmans atmosphere
7th Spyro Circuit : so maaaaany angles , has basically no flow , teleports sucks , has annoying obstacles
8th Koala Carnival : layout is even worse than Coco park and Inferno Island to me . Why ? Because it's basically an oval with bugged ramps and invisible walls on them ....

My worst used to be Twilight Tour since I thought it was kind of bland and empty, plus I found the N. Tropy ghost so infuriating the first few times I tried to beat him. But after a while, I started to fall in love with the track the more I played it and gave it another chance 😊
Koala Carnival is my worst because of how boring and short it is, the track is just a circle, no short cuts or branching paths. Although like you said the track itself beautiful, but that's all it has going for it. Lastly trying to beat the Velo ghost on this track made me wanna throw my controller at a wall, whenever I had blue flame and tried to do a big jump from the curved ramps where the flamethrowers are on the floor, I always used to hit some kind of invisible wall and lose all of my speed 😡

Otherwise Megamix is my favourite too so we basically have the same list :)
Bonus tracks in general I like a lot more now since the Velo Trials
The beaker glitch is a tactic mate, I feel item placement for me was way more important in the original CTR and I feel like I was a 1000 times better at it then, especially during Battle Mode with my brothers :)

I want a no item mode sooo bad. CTR is arguably the most skill based kart racer right now. Races determined by items is not fun in my opinion. It’s like playing competitive smash with items, you sometimes enjoy the insanity items bring to a game, but most of the time you want to know who’s really the best at the game.
So the grand prix are over but will we still get updates for new stuff like cosmetics?
