- Hello again drivers,
I had a great time chatting with @TonyJackson98 about how he began driving on track to achieving his sub2 lap time and beyond. Tony started his car life with Hondas in the late 90s and now owns this beautiful e46 M3. With very minimal modifications to the car, he focusses on challenging and pushing himself little further each time. Would like to thank you again Tony for your time and we look forward to your journey!

So glad I found this channel. This is the first episode I have watched and am now hooked.
Appreciate that!! 🙏
Thanks so much for coming by! I had fun going down memory lane.
Thank you Tony! Looking forward to your next daily and progress with the e46!
Tony Jackson is a Honda Legend.
You find the best guests 💯. Love hearing about all the time and sweat equity people have put in on "normal cars" before they get to the "end game" car. Awesome to hear the progression. #goals
Thank you st4xor 🫡
At those speeds (under 2:00), I'm surprised he doesn't have a full roll cage in it.
Nice video
Appreciate the comment and kind words! Alot of these cars serve dual duty.(as in transportation, at least to the track) I think most people go full race cars (full cage) around low 1:50 lap times at buttonwillow. but that opens whole new problem haha. (budget, convenience, storing trailer, etc)
@@Sub2club Thanks for the reply 😁👍
the homie tony! Met him in austin when he worked at winding road
Nice!! He’s knowledgeable and have great personality!
Idk why I always thought this car was more hardcore but it seems like Tony prefers to keep it pretty civil. Cool dude rad car
Yes yes!!
I just came across your channel today and binged a few. I have an e46 and f80 so this was very timely. Great content from what ive seen. Up in north cal.
Appreciate the comment! That’s great! Hope the videos are entertaining and valuable for you!
Interesting to see no strut bar, on a track-ish car.
Remember seeing all his Honda builds long ago on Hondatech
Great interview!
it's so funny that Americans have to specify that they had a manual whereas here in the UK it's implied.
Haha, I do see many e46 smg convertibles but great to see most enthusiasts are hanging on to their manuals here!
Oh I know him from his old TSX!
Does the car still have a factory diff ? How does it work for you on the circuit ??
I believe this car has stock diff. Im sure there’s time to be gained but comes with hefty price
What kind of cooling fan u use on it
Answer from the man himself! “I actually removed the factory clutch fan and I’m only running the stock auxiliary fan with a Koyo rad.” Hope this helps!
@@Sub2club and it doesn’t over heat
@@keronsmith8459 it would totally depend on your setup. Where fan comes in handy is high traffic stop and go situation with ac on. Many track cars don’t have ac and don’t do stop and go driving so that would be one reason to eliminate.
@@Sub2club okay I got u i am super charged but still a street car
@@keronsmith8459 if you have AC, I would keep the clutch fan! Even if you don’t have AC, it creating beyond what the engine was designed for, so i would keep all fans and possibly change to new clutch and fan! Just my opinion
Do you think tuning these is a good move?
Tuning as in engine tuning? Or tuning in general?
@@Sub2club I meant tuning this platform specifically. Hey if you can share me your email or a way to contact you, I’d like to share a mod list of an e46 m3 im thinking of buying. Is there any way I can reach you? Thx
