Because we resist secular humanism. They consider us their greatest enemy. As hip as these guys are they are very orthodox. And hold fast to the truth passed on by Jesus, the Apostles, and St Francis. The modernist in the word and the church hate them. And resist them. Many in the church have lost their way and these guys are a symbol of their betrayal.. they long for the praise of Men not God. These guys are set aside for God alone. Together they carry the good news of Christ!!! Praising God by the way they live! God bless them,watch over them and keep them sound!!! Amen

Shit sells and showing the bad things of anything or anyone sells....so they talk about a fucked up priest that abuses children (that priest should be sentenced to life inprisonment) but they don't show priest, monks and nuns who go out and help those that society gladly forgets about....THAT'S the media in a nutshell....

The friar who dunked with his hood on is Brother PT (soon-to-be priest)! Him and four other Friars of the Renewal just spent the weekend in Memphis, meeting people on the University of Memphis campus and educating our Catholic youth for Friar Fest. These men have a special joy and calling, everybody loves them! God bless the Franciscans!

I show this to my Catholic school students that I substitute teach!!! The 3rd graders and 5th graders are obsessed and love this video so much! These Friars are the coolest 😎🫶🙏

Probably depends on the order and area. A Trappist monk isn't living the life that you see in this video.
And I'm sure most Friars find a few moments out of their basketball and DJ'ing schedule to go to mass.
I'm well aware of the differences between orders, and I don't think this video insinuates that they don't find time for Mass, etc.
