@@alexjamesmalcolm As Hank said in the first Ant-man movie, his formula is fucking up his brain chemistry and making him unstable he was already in the edge wanting to prove himself, and then he used his own formula that didn't have any human trials.
People it is a joke. he wanted to redeem himself and acted overly nice. That’s all
well the first reason is, his mind is a mess. due to all those pym particles doing a number on his brain chemistry plus the trauma of getting squeezed and becoming... this. rationality was never an option for him.
the second reason is. they truly were a brother in a sense. since they both got a chance to be hank's apprentice. maybe at his last moments he wanted to say something nice to scott and thats all he could think of.

He would have looked cool with hair and white eyes like in the comics. But gotta say he looks better with the mask on.
He was made bald because the actor that played him was bald. The white eyes probably would not adapt that well on his real face. Hence why they achieved that with the armored head.
Maybe his face could’ve been burned and scarred a bit to give him more a deformed look like in the comics and in the first Iron Man cartoon.
Even if you hate modok in this movie...admit it the armor is awesome

MODOK was great in this movie, they recycled an old character and reinforced that if we don't actually see a character die on screen that they are always fair game for returning - Scarlet Witch comes to mind.
MODOK is a character that shouldn't have been put in the MCU unless he was at least partly a joke, he's not a character like Rocket, Groot or Mantis (characters whose appearance we can look past), he's a piece of shit as far as I remember and hard to take seriously even in a comic book.

Modok wasn't Great but I think Floatsam and Jetsam were better sidekicks the remake versions

i like modok. he was a decent secondary villain. and honestly mcu had neither time nor obligation to make him anything more important than that. so im just glad what we got.
he contributed to the plot sufficiantly, had enough amount of kill count to show that he is a threat, looks comic book accurate and spits personality whenever he was on the screen.
the only thing i didnt like was how easily he changed sides. but i dont think that made him entirely a bad character. just a good character with some bad scenes

Weird non-sibling rivalry. One wanted the Pym particles and tried to steal them, one got them. Both thieves. Probably the only jackass he could relate to before he died.
They never were, it was a joke. Darren is insane to say the very least, and obsessed with being accepted by people around him, seen in the hurt he showed in the first movie when Hank called him out for producing weapons.
It’s difficult to say if his final act is truly heroic or just him seeking recognition again. During death he seems to be pretty disillusioned with the significance of his sacrifice in undoing all his prior crimes, he still murdered hundreds of people and he doesn’t seem to understand the weight of these acts.
honestly, despite all the flaws I can respect them *attempting* to make MODOK work

its called amalgam character. they did a bunch of those by now.
Oh sure that never happens: Megatron to Galvatron, any one turned into one of Apocalypse's 4 Horsemen, Montana into Shocker (Spectacular Spider-Man), Thunderbolt Ross to Red Hulk, Scorpion into Venom, Wade Eiling into Shaggy Man, Adrian Chase into Prometheus (Arrow), Shang Chi's father in the comics (Fu Machu) became an adaption of the Mandarin in the movies, Agents of Sheild had Talbott turn into Graviton, Skye into Quake, John Garrett/The Clairvoyant was briefly Deathlok, Grant Ward into Hive, Jarvis into Vision, etec.
Ultimate weapon? More like a sniper's dream come true.

@Kevin Wilson Mental is the standard for Modok. Though there have been other version of his acronym. There has also been Mobile or Mechanized. Animated versions of him usually change the name to M.O.D.O.C. for Mental Organism Designed Only for Conquest. Also Mechanized does not really imply great intelligence either.

They should've turned armin zola into modok. It would've made it more interesting and it would make a lot of sense for zola to back up his mind after the events of winter soldier so that hydra can turn him into a robot. would've been a good plot for a captain america movie.

It sounds like you never read a comic or watch a cartoon with M.O.D.O.K. in your life. He is almost always a villain with some comic relief. The Avengers game is the only time he ever was completely straight.

That is true of the comic version well. His name is short for Mental Oragnism Designed Only For Killing and the best he manages to kill is a few A.I.M. scientists. He is a cult favourite Marvel villain but it is not because he is effective or dangerous.

I liked MODOK in this movie but it wasn’t perfect.
I appreciate the comic accuracy, but it would’ve been better if the face was more disfigured and they kept his identity hidden until closer to the climax.
Otherwise I liked this version.
I hope they save his brain like in the comics.
