@@alienvseditor yeah, they make things big or little, but it's not nanotech. enlarging the suit should have knocked someone out of the chopper! Of course, i suppose oyu could say he stole some tricks form Tony Stark..or heck, maybe he came up with the "self applying armor" subroutine himself. Onf of Tony's flaws is he tends to take credit for other people's work.. Just ask Mysterio.

Honestly, I think Darren Cross is an underrated villain as I do like his Yellowjacket design, his rivalry with Hank Pym and Scott Lang, and Corey Stoll's performance. With that said, I am intrigued on how Cross will do as the MCU's version of MODOK in Quantumania.
EDIT: *SPOILER ALERT*
I overall thought Cross was pretty good as the MCU's version of MODOK. It makes sense for him to be in that mutilated form in context of his final scene in the first Ant-Man film. Let's be honest, it was always never gonna work to take MODOK seriously in live action in terms of his overall design and goofyness of the character. So i felt that they did the best they could with MODOK as he was overall pretty funny in the film. Although, one thing i will criticize is Cross' redemption as it was really out of nowhere, but i guess it fits MODOK's over-the-topness.
The design is good, but Cross is a lame villain. He’s a colour-by-numbers villain with a run-of-the-kill plan and run-of-the-mill motivation. Not very interesting.

They fr could've taken the Yellowjacket suit for themselves. Or atleast tried to recreate it.. It had arms like the Iron-Spider- (That was able to shoot beams), The shrinking ability of Ant-Man, and flight. Plus, the suit was more intimidating than Ant-Man's and Wasp's combined.
Supposedly he redeems himself, that's one of the rumors.

This is what I miss about the mcu
Everyone’s saying Scott didn’t lose anything in Quantumania, but he already lost Antony in the first movie

It's kinda sad to see how they changed Darren's personality so bad on Quantumania, he had very good moments on the 1st Antman movie
I mean its purely due to the "Pym particles" that he created thats affecting his brain, as in the movie we can see him become more psychotic and erratic. And then shrinking so much that you are literally built like a life sized Funko would realistically do something to someones psyche, on top of the chemicals affecting his mind.
@@gajaan316 Yeah it's true, but it's like a TOTALLY different person in Quantumania in every way, like Marvel put him there just to say "hey look, we have MODOK in the MCU", and make him a living joke and kill him, lol, they literally could put a random dude do that part, imo his appearance was kinda unnecesary
For being called uninteresting or generic, Darren had a sublte yet very nice conflict with Hank Pym. Hank chooses and then abandons him because he sees too much of himself in his protégé. Darren's rejection and subsequent revenge felt closer to comicbook Ultron than the Ultron we got in the MCU. Then there's the fact the Scott pretty much killed him. There was so much potential for his return and even for a possible redemption of the character, yet every conflict these characters had in the first movie are completely thrown away for cheap jokes. Absolutely awful writing.
@@Movel0 Nobody complains Darren is Generic they complain that Yellow Jacket is. It makes sense with chemicals messing with his brain, but even then his generic villain dialogue is just too hard to ignore.

It's very quick, but you can see in the shot when Yellow Jacket jumps out of the pool that they shift between 2 shots. The shadows on the ground change direction and I've always found it distracting.

2:25 See this is the kind of thing that was missing from Quantumania. Yes I get they were already small to get to the Quantum Realm. But the overall film needed some of this goofiness that made the previous 2 Ant Man's good instead of trying to pit him against another world ending villain.

Um, bro, you do realize that a company is not just a building right? They'll just build another HQ somewhere (or work from home since COVID is near).
Plus, even if the building contained the only working machine to make some sci-fi goober, it's normal protocol for R&D organizations to save backups of all their research data on a daily (if not hourly) basis. That includes procedure to make the magic formulae (along with all the failed recipes), and the specs on all the machinery and paraphernalia intact.
Yellowjacket had literally nothing to worry about even if the building blew up.

How was He able to put on the Yellowjacket before Scott Lang / Ant Man got back into the Helicopter. What ever happen to that helicopter after they both dropped out of it. Nice how Scott / Ant Man hit Darren / Yellowjacket with ping pong paddle.

I will always remember Ant Thony the ant who had an honourable death while fighting a human bad guy. I know it is just an ant I am talking about here just a minor life sacrificed but I care about all in the movie lives whether small or big and I know it is just a movie but it shows braveness of ants as well so it is not wrong to talk about someone's sacrifice whether if it is an ant only.
