- While asking random people to sing in a New York City subway, I met Sydney! After many people said no or simply kept on walking, Sydney came by willing to join in on the fun. It turns out she's a California native who's traveled across the country to The Big Apple to perform in musical theater. After hearing her performance, I'm confident she has a bright future ahead of her!

As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me for Free" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

That pause at 8:35 shows just how talented musically this man is. It's very subtle, but waiting to hit that chord right when the note was sung was so dope. Shows how effortless it is for him and how his mind can be thinking ahead while performing.
Sydney is absolutely incredible as well. She smoked that Lady Gaga cover. Definitely not an easy song to sing and she absolutely laced it.
Sydney’s voice on Shallow gave me chills. You could feel it when her love of singing knocked her nerves away; the power and emotion of her voice were immediate.

What I say above, is the exact reason that those videos are out. They showcase great talents but they want to show that not anyone can sing that well, but they can "sing their heart out" , at least, and feel happy.

Truth is there are millions of great singers out there. Voices just as good or better than the superstar musicians. Here is the big difference though....The superstars are brimming with confidence, ego, drive, dedication, stage presence, the right look, right music at the right time, and an absolute no quit attitude. Let's also not forget the all important "it factor." Even with all this most people fail to reach the top.

Can't count how many times I have already listened this cat woman's, Sydney's, performance and here I am, listening it again, and each time it fills me with strength to "stand the music", not "run for the cover" quoiting the Al Pacino's character from "Scent of a Woman", though my bravery is forced on me, I simply have no other choice and no possible cover and I will never give up my only home even if it ended with my death by some violent hands.
