Except Alice. Alice's is still at the top of the road by my house, at the corner of California State Highways 84 and 35. Except 84 has been closed since this winter's big rains washed a chunk of it down the mountain. You can still get to Alice's. If you get out this way (south of SF), I'll take you.
Imagine hearing this song played every class, all class long, for several weeks. It actually happened in my American History class in high school. It was a pretty mind-numbing experience at first. But, I love the song to this day.
Wish there was a love reaction.... Thank you for the lesson, I'll be on the bench, filling out forms and playing with the pencils there whilst practicing this.
This is a great song, but you only need to hear it twice. Your first time, then the time you play it for a friend. I haven't heard it in its entirety since the mid to late 80s. 😂
@michaelsmyth3935 you know what? That's fair, actually. The argument can be made that it serves as a great Thanksgiving tradition. Like reading The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve.
I was at my friends grandmas for what was supposed to be a brief visit, but she made us listen to the whole damn thing
“You wanna end war and stuff you gotta sing loud!”

I love the song's rag time sound!
Woodie and Arlo are close relatives of mine, my family has handwritten songs by both of them
Not as easy to play as it sounds. Nicely done, Anthony, as always.

Pretty cool I'm glad these songs are kept alive still remembered. And played ...thank you
My favorite thanksgiving song
Arlo, under rated to the extreme. Great catalog of songs. Brilliant live.
I'll be over here on the Group W Bench.
I love playing this one, but it is hard to keep up the picking pattern for the entire 19 minutes 23 seconds Arlo claims...
"Exceptin' Alice..."
Love that song!

I love this song. I'm going to start practicing this right away.
I used to play this all the time in the 80s/90s. I doubt I'd remember it now.
What a cozy song

starts similar to gustavo santaolalla - brokeback mountain - wings
you can get anything you want from alices restaurant

Listened every year, for years, yeah, I know. Own it.

Went to the quote “scene of the crime” unquote.
The tab isn't the same as what you're playing 😢
Don't litter
I hadn't really known this song but i know the riff so I threw it on my massive playlist. Just came on in the car and absolutely made my night lmao
