Fun Fact: Nani's super charge rate was buffed from 6 to 5 hits in the lastest update, so the supercharge gear is useless on her now

I feel people underrate the Health gear soooo much. You fully heal in 5 seconds instead of 9, which really makes a difference in the long run
Especially on tanky brawlers who get massive amounts of health for just one heal

I don’t agree on the health gear rating, it should be higher, higher than vision even since it allows you to go back to battle much faster more often on the high hp brawlers, which I have found very very useful
I don’t necessarily agree, though I definitely see your point, and it’s good to remember that with the new stat scaling, it also has much more effect relative to gadgets, SPs, and gears that have specific numbers like the Shield Gear or Plant Life
I agree the health gear is my go to and good with medium health brawlers
Same here. If other somewhat niche gears can be higher, why isn't health gear there? You can apply so much pressure because you're just constantly in on the action. Like I use health over damage gear on ash because I can just heal up so quickly and get back into the fight before my rage goes down. Like why is super charge so much higher? Haven't really found it necessary on any of the brawlers tbh
@@snowpools8498 Well super charge is actually pretty useful on brawlers like Bull, Jacky and Primo, who are very close range range brawlers. It works with their tank trait so they charge even faster with it, I'd say it's especially good on Primo since he can chain supers and even just get his super pretty easily with it. Though on brawlers like Otis it only makes it so that he needs 1 hit less to charge his super so it's not that useful, but I do still use it cause it can come in clutch
Vision Gear is too situational for me
Idk, I think the health gear is underrated or misunderstood. Despite the health of any brawler, it can help anyone to regain health faster and return to battle full health in less time, which is specially important with low health brawlers.

Health gear is extremely underrated, I use it on most brawlers that have the same HP or more than Colette. I've been saved by this gear countless times because I could regen faster than my opponents.

Also since it can be used on any map or any mode, imo it’s better for F2P than speed gear. Since speed gear is so situational, I would much rather have a gear that’s always good

I used to go by 4480 hp or higher slap on a health gear before the stat changes
I really wish Resistance Gear would be added again as an epic gear for tanks and assassins. Vision Gear makes more sense as an epic gear too for every brawler that easily scouts bushes, because it’s pointless on short range brawlers and most marksmen.
I’m just kinda disappointed about the current Epic Gears. The Super Charge and Reload Speed Gears don’t necessarily complement the brawlers that received them, it kinda feels random which brawlers received them. And the Pet Power Gear is just useful in heist on Jessie and Nita.

super charge and reload should be super rare cause almost every brawler benefits from them, I agree that vision should be an epic gear and speed should be an epic gear too mainly for the close ranged brawlers in my opinion and should be reworked to not be dependent on bushes. It should increase the movement speed by 1 level

@@applecuteneee3004 It’s a little awkward for each brawler to receive the Reload and Super Charge Gears. Brawlers with insanely fast reload speed wouldn’t benefit from the Reload Gear outside of heist (also Carl exists), and the Super Charge Gear only increases the Super Charge Rate by 10%, which is not enough for most brawlers to charge their super with one less hit (also Stu exists). I think it makes sense for them to remain as Epic Gears, I just wish only Damage Dealers received Reload Gears and only brawlers that rely on their slow-charging super received Super Charge Gears. This is only my interpretation though.
I think the goal of Super Rare Gears should be to be useful on every brawler. Which is why I think the Speed Gear is fine as it is. It’s map dependent but useful for all brawlers on those maps. There is an argument to be made about Health Gear and Shield Gear being pointless on low hp and high hp brawlers respectively, but at the very least it has a useful effect on all brawlers. It’s also a nice trade off between an aggressive and passive playstyle for brawlers with an average amount of hp.
Honestly, they should make a special epic gear for each brawler class to make gear system less stupid
I think reload should be S tier. It’s never a bad idea to use it unlike with the gadget gear where it’s not worth it on some brawlers.
there is this one brawler on which it's bad to use, that is belle, because she already has a fast reload speed
I'd rather use damage and shield on her, with damage I can clutch, and shield because she's squishy
as for gadget, you're right, it's only good on certain brawler, but on those brawler (such as dynamike), it's crazy strong, especially with the price tag of only 1000 coins
@@grissee the way i’ve always seen belle is, as long as you’re hitting your shots, she isn’t squishy bc of the shield. especially since the shield gear is bad rn i’d rather run damage and reload
@@matthewk4754 that's where you're wrong, belle with SP shield is tanky, but with shield gear, it's downright broken
it has the same interaction with gray shield, your SP shield make your gear shield take less damage, and since your gear shield isn't depleted due to SP shield, it will always regenerate

The overall increase of stats all across the board leads to fixed stat-stuff to be less valuable, for ex Colette's first gadget, Piper's Ambush star power, or the shield gear
@@grissee Shield gear provided 600 HP before AND AFTER the update where power level stats were increased from +5% to +10%. Now that each power level provides a 10% increase in overall stats instead of 5%, somehow shield gear is still at 600 HP, which makes shield gear relatively much worse compared to other gears for every brawler. So, running reload would be much better until Shield Gear is increased from 600 HP to reflect the 5% to 10% increase in power levels.
The health gear is way better than shield gear now tho cuz of the new stats
This is true they didn't buff shield to scale like how they didn't buff all the other gadgets and star powers to scale

Shield gear right now is actually probably the worst gear since it didn't get buffed to reflect the new hp stats

I disagree. The function of the shield gear was always to survive exactly 1 extra ammo from precise interactions, i.e. you die to an exact amount of damage, and if you take 1 hp less of damage, you wouldn't die. It's hardly consequential if you survive with 10hp or with 600hp, or 600hp vs 900hp, since most projectiles post-update will still kill you.
I still think they should buff it because i really liked using fake injury

0:55 Hard Disagree. Health gear is easily one of the best gears in the game (imo), as it HALVES your downtime when you're low on health and allows you to generally be more aggressive and self sufficient. It's useful on any brawler that gets in fights (all except a few throwers, even then it's still useful in thrower duels). I didn't think much of the health gear when it got reworked, but now with the new gear system and being able to experiment more with gears (since they're unlocked at P8 now) has really shown me how good it is.
It's good for tanks but low hp brawlers it doesn't do alot for
it doesn't half your time, it reduces it by 1/3. You need about 6 ticks of healing to fully heal up in the game without this gear. With health gear it goes down to 4.
0:07 that gear can actually come in clutch a lot of the times+when paired with Invisiheal it means 1000 extra HP which helps a lot in fights

@@le-vrai-emeri3973 Yes because the healing in mid-combat which allows me to make a kill and finish the job is better than disengaging and allowing my enemy to be max health.The more Leon is invisible,the better

Health gear is really underrated. It basically decreases the time you spend healing, thus allowing you to fight more. Also it's specially broken on high hp brawlers, healing 2k+ per second really is kinda crazy
Leon's mythic gear should make him stay invisible even when he passes through an enemy. Like pre nerf/global release leon. That wouldn't be as broken in the current state of the game because back then, the game was too simple that when a leon closes in on you, you are dead. But it's not the same now, everyone and their grandma has some sorta escape ability ready to go nowadays.
Or that could be his hypercharge. Either way i am down for that.

0:06 Lingering Smoke is way better now since Shield had a massive indirect nerf. Before, you'd go Shield and Damage every time. Now that Shield is pretty mediocre, it opens up a slot for either Speed or Lingering Smoke. Combined with Smoke Trails, you can essentially have free reign.
0:54 Health Gear is much, much more universal than you think. It competes with Damage and Super Charge on the less bushy maps and is even viable with medium health brawlers such as Carl, Bonnie, and even Max. She was always used with Health in Hot Zone.
1:26 Pet Power is on the lower end ever since the removal of Heist. Spawner brawlers aren't as effective in Siege due to IKE's attack.
2:09 Shield is underwhelming at the moment. 600 extra HP doesn't provide in nearly as many interactions. Still usable, but much worse.
3:45 It is a huge increase though? Both Reload and Damage provide a 15% buff. Damage has a catch of being below half health, Reload doesn't. I don't get the logic here. It is essentially a 15% increase in both damage and super charge rate and it's the go-to on every brawler who has this gear.
As a Otis and lou main, the super charge gear is almost essential when you're hitting most of your shots, on Otis with his second star power it reduces the ammo needed from 4 to 3 and for lou it reduces it from 3 to 2, which is very helpful for example on hot one for lou and against tanks on otis
I agree with Lou, but for Otis... I tried it two days ago and from my experience, with the gear it takes 12 ink balls to charge the super and without it, it took 13... correct if I'm wrong!
@@sr.marpla1862 I have tested it, you need the fourth ink ball starr power for it to do anything because if you don't then it's the same, and in my opinion the one extra ammo you save could help against some tanks (I know because I have his title)
But I can admit, it wouldn't be very game changing like a speed or vision gear
@@metalac8363 I mean, it helps, of course! But for the price of 1500 coins, I would expect something way more useful than that. 8 or less hits would be broken because it would mean 2 full ammo shots. But 12 instead of 13 is just meh... I would have put it at 10 hits, which I think is good number and you still need 3 ammo shots but you can spare some ink balls. Right now I'd say it's not worth it.

I can never see a universe where the Health gear isn’t a top 3 Gear, especially after the stat inflation it can be debated as the best gear in the game.

Vision gear is so underrated, sure it's useless when there's no bushes on the map, but the same goes for the speed gear and vision doesn't get NEAR the same attention as the other gear.
Speed gear should have been B as well. Vision gear is broken in bushy maps such as Double swoosh or Infinite doom. But useless in other not so bushy maps. So overall average B tier is fine but the same thing is with speed so I don't know why it's A tier.

This would be a solid list if you were to swap health and shield. The shield gear is completely unusable after the most recent update, I have no idea why it isn’t in F.

its not unusable bc some interactions are on the dot for characters meaning ANY amount of extra hp makes u survive its niche but not useless
however it does need a +200 shield buff to be back to where it was pre change
@@anaxolotl4119 600 HP on Brawlers with 5K+ health is just not worth it anymore, it was almost always only used in Bounty and now basically all Bounty (or Wipeout ig) brawlers run damage and gadget gear.
Still helps a lot of brawlers survive in an extra shot in many interactions.
With how they changed the stats of upgrading brawlers, I would put Shield gear lower down the list until they change it
2:34 what? For Otis it is 1 entire less ammo to get super and like 3 less projectiles, it's very good on him considering that his super is why you use him.
I think heal gear deserves a bit more recognition, on brawlers like tick, well yeah, i barely does something. But even just the slightest bit of health can make it so strong, ESPECIALLY in competetive matches!
Health gear plus his healing sp is pretty good
Something I don't like about some mithyc gears. Is that they genuinely feel like star powers. Like spike's or Amber's or Sandy's.
For example, spik
Mithyc gear would be a better fit for his hyper charge. Less annoying because less often. Strong and actually original. And the size increase could instead be the gear.
I personally don't really agree, gears tend to be simple stat changes without extra mechanics added other than sometimes a condition for the increase in the specific stat (like damage below half health and speed while in bushes). Of course there are some exceptions, like Amber's gear does add a new mechanic being slowness on her oil, but even then it's just a simple 10% speed reduction on brawlers that walk on it. Some star powers are simple like this too, but this seems to be the main theme with gears.
@@determineddaaf3 some star power do less things than some gears. Colt's for example. I would rather have mithyc hear that tap into a characters potential and may enable some new of playing. (such as paring great with a mediocre star power.) than having them be the star power.
The rare and epic ones are perfect because even if they add new mechanics it's for the entire or part of the cast.
While the mithyc gears are personal. So are literally like star powers. If they serve the same purpose it's kind of stupid.

Health should be S or at LEAST A. It get's guaranteed value every game on EVERY brawler despite the hp of the brawler. Heal faster = get into the fight faster. And on tanky brawlers like Fang it helps so much with keeping up pressure. My personal favorite super rare gear
Nah, Leon's mythic gear should be higher because if u r running away and getting shot, it can make a massive difference if u have fast star power or an extra 1000 healing, could be tye difference between winning or losing
Reload gear Is better than damage gear as it gives you value everytime while damage gear is only when you have less than 50% hp

Didn't the shield gear technically get a huge nerf last update? All the brawlers got a huge damage buff, but the shield remained at 600 extra hp, so it's just a lot less effective now.
I think the health gear should be B-tier because not only does it work on tanks, but it also works on some assassins like Buzz or Sam and it works for Hank too while not charging his attack.
It's sad how sc doesn't give more importance to the gears, now we're not only going to have to wait for epic/mythical gears to be given to each brawler but also hypercharges and it seems like these are the priority

Great video, agree with the assertions for the most part... Only the speed one I feel is less useful because as you said requires bushes, so I'm kind of reticent of buying it for any particular brawler, since I just don't know how useful it will be in any given map

Health gear is a must have on Tick. That one Star Power and this gear go so hard.

@@jeremylall1298 how often do you imagine that happening though. Nani I can understand but if you are getting shot by Mandy that easy, you shouldn't be playing a thrower. Get behind a wall and bait the super. Or you may use the shielding gadget.

I kinda fear the time when every gadget, star powers and gears that buff direct numbers will get buffed to balance with the 10% update, what a pain to relearn all the numbers

Tbh gears are allways useful depending on brawler and opponent it's on. Leon's could be used it an enemy is too far away so you try to get near a bush or Sandy's wich is usefull while fighting close range brawlers
It's not useless but there are other gears that are way more useful on him then his 1 second gear
With the new stats, healt gear have been indirectly buffed and shield gear is worth almost nothing.
I think shield gear should be based of a brawler max hp. Like 25% of the max hp.
As for health I think it should give more or less regeneration based on the missing health. A bit like Sam star power but for basic regeneration.
Tara having the Pet Power gear really confuses me, considering you require other specific abilities for it to be of ANY use!

I feel like health gear is super underrated. It comes in clutch if youre good at dodging.
I wish there would be a rare gear given to support brawlers with certain class/ trait specifically on their field of control
Loved the video! Just an aside, I think that gears are just meh...they're not as bad as they were..but they're not good either... and I think the reason for that is because gears are "conditionated-buffs" and that makes them less exciting. Let me explain:
Speed gear: IF you're in grass, you get a speed buff
Damage gear: IF you have at low health, you get a damage buff
Shield gear: IF you have all your health, you gain extra health
Etc...
All these gears give a buff, but with a condition, these make them less exciting...and feels like it's not a decision when you chose them. For example: You chose a speed gear because the map has lots of bushes, not because you want the brawler to be faster.
To understand this better, you can compare those gears, to other gears with no conditions, that are far more exciting and meaningful:
Gadget gear: Gives you an extra use of the gadget
Pet gear: Pets give more damage
Power charging: Charge your super faster
Etc...
To make real good gears, i think they could remove the conditions, making them a lot more exciting, and making us feel that the choice of the gears would really depend on how we want to play the brawler!
Speed gear: The brawler get an overall speed buff
Damage gear: The brawler get an overall damage buff
Shield gear: The brawler get an overall health buff
Etc...
I think this change, is realy easy to make, and would make the gears a lot more exciting!

Maybe Barley's Extra Noxious starpower could be replaced by a gear that just gives flat damage since it's kind of boring for a star power.

Damage gear above reload gear is mental. Sometimes i wonder if kairos plays the same game as us, like even in theory reload is better🫤
Nice video, thanks. And hope you're doing well. It's a tiny bit annoying that I have to buy the gadget gear to use it, because I already have 2 gears for my brawlers, so I will not spend more gold on them sadly. It's just not worth it.
Gadget Charge and Sticky Spikes should be top 2 and 1 and dmg gear top 3
Dmg gear makes you survive easier, ok very strong, but I think 15% is too tiny, even Crow's mythic gear can deal 30% all the match
Besides, Gadget Charge and Sticky Spikes are a free kill. Extra gadget will be a free kill for some gadget like Cordelious' 50% Otis super or Dynamike's stunning bomb. Sticky Spikes slow people down CRAZY, like, it takes forever to get out, doomed

Honestly, as an Amber main, the sticky oil is almost completely useless. The thing that deterrs people from using the lane you've slicked up is the threat of it lighting on fire; a 10% slowdown won't change that.
Furthermore, you can't take advantage of the fact that reduced movement makes them an easier target, because if you do, you'll light the slowdown on fire and they'll be normal speed, at which point the slowdown is useless. So only your teammates can take advantage of it, so you want to block a lane, then go to the other side and have your teammates take advantage of the slow, but at that point you're often too far from the puddle to properly threaten lighting it, which means you lose a lot of pressure unless you can get a second oil puddle for your side.
To get use out of the gear, you have to use a convoluted strategy that your randoms have to understand, and even then it's bad because it takes a lot longer for you to get situated with your puddles.
After that the only use is making sure enemies have a hard time baiting out burning your oil, but at that point just get good, honestly. It's perfectly reactable and inescapable if you wait for the right time to light. If it is escapable, like with some jump (crow, suge, eve, etc.) or dash, then it's not like the slowdown would have helped.
It's not worth a gear slot. Health, reload, gadget, damage, and shield are all significantly better options. The sticky oil gadget is an F tier to me.

Does Supercell reimburse and remove the gears when they nerf or buff a gear? If they don't, they should. Imagine I buy a mythic gear and it gets nerfed (like Amber's), I should be given the option to change my mind.
New epic gear ideas
Projectile speed gear:
Increases the projectile speed of the brawlers main attack
Range gear:
Increases the brawlers range by 1 tile
Duration gear:
Increases the brawlers supers duration by 1 second (this would go on Leon and replace his mythic gear)
I thought sticky oil would be absurdly broken, but I’m a little disappointed with the impact that gear actually had

Hey kairos. Otis loads his super with the gear in 12 hits instead of 13. So otis can charge his super with the ink refills star power in 3 ammo. He is also recharging his super with his super over a quarter. I Play otis all the time with the gear and He is one of my Favorite brawler
I agree with mostly everything except ONE thing. Swap amber and eve mythic gears. Hell, I would say eve's mythic gear is the worst gear in the game, the ONE extra thing (I forgot what they're called) is nothing compared to the dmg gear+reload gear combo on her. I would also argue sandy's should be at the very least be B, It's kinda useful for blocking out... everything, basically. It actually kinda punishes them for entering his super and that's nice. Also I hope you're doing way better now that you've "escaped" the reddit hell hole, we'll miss you.
Since the recent 10% level up buff to every brawler, I think the healing gear is probably better

Honestly. All mythic gears can be applied to their brawlers hypercharge, it would make more than just a simple bigger super.

I would say Leon's gear is d tier since if you have invisiheal, you can gain an extra 1000 health, and to gain 6000 health overtime is actually insane
Tick gets A LOT of value if you combine the healing gear with his healing star power it's a lot of fun

I feel like the vision gear really ought to be removed from the blue gears, and turned into a purple. Free “upgrade” for brawlers who you already had it on and made the cut to keep it, coin refund for any that didn’t keep it, and maybe a month of discount to the 1000-coin cost that blue gears normally have.
It just feels bad to my completionist brain to see an empty spot on El Primo and know that I would literally never use it if I bought it, and there were a couple brawlers I mistakenly bought it on thinking it’d be good that it wasn’t.
Plus this opens up the possibility of adding another blue gear that’s actually suited to every brawler.

Health is one of the best in my opinon and at least better than shield which got nerfed by 200 hp do to the stat increases and takes for ever to recharge

damage gear increases dps by 15% ONLY WHEN HEALTH IS BELOW 50%. reload - increase dps by 15% permanently + super charge rate up by 15% + map area control up by 15%(as you are shooting more often)
