Hey Lee. Bought the 3ft letter&number package from you a while ago and going great so far. Any tips for getting something like a 4 to stay upright and keep its balance? Just built it but looking like I am going to need to build a base of some kind for it. Thanks again as always!

Basically a bracket from behind. A large L-Bracket works great. Secure it to plywood which is laying on the ground or to sandbags behind. Sometimes you have to get creative, and it depends what venue you're at.

How can you provide the link for the d hooks or are all the screws the same size so they won't penetrate the wood?

Great video! What’s the best silent generator for powering marquee letters outside without outlets?

Really at your local event dealer. We buy them from a place called Special Event Sales because they're close to us up here in Canada.

Hi Lee. We operate a successful photo booth rental company in Montreal with +10 units. I will be adding Marquee letters and have questions before I buy your plans.: (1) What would you recommend for the sides of the letters (the 4 inch panelling)... plywood or pine planks? I am concerned pine will be too thick, but also that plywood will be a pain to finish properly prior to painting. (2) the 36 inch letters seem so easy to transport, but 48 seem sooooo much bigger and nicer. As a pickup rental, what do you prefer? 36" vs 48. Pros and cons.

      1. We started with plywood, now switching to MDF and Metal!
      2. 36 will be much cheaper to make, and easier to transport. I would probably start with that.

Do you recommend to add a base ?

Especially outside, you would likely want some sort of plywood base. You might want to also camouflage that plywood base

Any suggestions for stacking longer phrases like marry me (with marry on the top) and you don’t have a table ??

Essentially you'll need to rig it in from behind. If you're not handy, borrowing a friend who's into woodworking can be super helpful.
