CENTROID HAAS Renishaw ballbar test

In this video, we show a brief demonstration of a Renishaw ballbar test on a Haas VF-1. The ballbar test is a simple to use test that generates a large amount of information about a machine's tool positioning performance. Performing a ballbar test is important to ensure that the CNC machine is making accurate parts and to reduce potential scrap parts. The necessary tools are the ballbar itself as well as the precision magnet mounts for each end of the bar.
An added benefit of the Renishaw ballbar kit is the Bluetooth accessibility to data. The ballbar test set is totally wire-free and all data is quickly transfered to a PC via Bluetooth. Renishaw's software collects this data and automatically calculates information about the position accuracy of the machine. This data is displayed graphically as well as in numeric format.
