I don't use parchment or wax paper under the puzzle prior to gluing. I use a 23" x 35" dry erase board (UBrand brand) instead. The white board is one-quarter inch thick and will not droop. The board has a slick surface such that dried glue can be easily scraped or peeled off cleanly with a glue scraper which usually comes with the puzzle glue. I found that with using wax paper or parchment paper that the glue will still adhere in some places between the paper and the puzzle which made separation sometimes difficult. This does not happen when I use a slick-surfaced whiteboard. Also, the post-cleaned whiteboard can be used over and over again. And, the whiteboard allows for easy handling, transport and re-positioning of the puzzle during assembly. I'm surprised that more people have not discovered this trick that makes assembly and gluing a puzzle much simpler and easier.
Great idea!
My dad is 85, loves building puzzles for all 5 of his children, he makes a beautiful wood frame to go around it. I have two very large ones in my lvg room , one is by my Favorite light artist, Terry Redline. Winter, Christmas scenes. of course. Thanks for the demo, dad has experienced buckling over the years, he never does the back with Mod Podge, could be the reason. Tfs
Wow, so many variations.
It works great ❤ thanks for the video
Thank you!!!!!!
I was skeptical at my abilities to follow directions and still get these results, so I tried it on a cute dollar store puzzle, y'know the ones with microscopic-sized puzzle pieces? yeah, those! mountain out of a molehill much? let me make my own challenge MORE challenging, LOL, oops. and even though I was incoherent enough to put my modpodge-sticky fingers ON THE PUZZLE as Im trying to glue it, then having to RE-LAY these tiny dustbunny tortilla ingredients back into place WITH those same sticky fingers (yeah, I'm horrible at crafting, can you tell?) while modpodge is actively drying on the puzzle.... IT STILL CAME OUT PERFECT! AND I'M KEEPING IT! MISSION FAILED SUCCESSFULLY! Wax paper was great advice, filling in the cracks fully was great advice, making a uniform pattern on top with one's brush strokes came out great even with my lumpy attempts underneath, completely concealed! I used matte and it looks like it's not even glued! If mod podge can turn THIS Disasterina (me) into the belle of the puzzle ball, it can definitely preserve YOUR puzzle!
So, I didn't see Mod Podge Puzzle Saver at our local Walmart, here in N.B. Canada. I bought instead Mod Podge Matte, which apparently is a water based glue, sealer and finish. Will this work as well?? I sure hope so. If you say no, then I'll return it and order online if I have to. Thanks in advance for your input!!!
Is there a difference in using any Mod Podge like Matte, or do you have to use the "puzzle" formula? Would brushing an "Elmers" type glue also work? Do you glue the puzzle to a foam or cardboard backing?
Where did you find the cute Christmas puzzle? Thanks!
I wondered how you save puzzles.
Does it have to be puzzle mod podge or can I use hard coat mod podge which I current have?
Please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks and Happy Puzzle Making!
Does it matter if I use regular modpoge or use the puzzle one? What's the difference
@@darkfluffycloud5404 The puzzle one is slightly thiner so is seems between the pieces better. Either one will work. :)
Where’s Steve????
Nonsense. You picked up the puzzle in one piece BEFORE you glued it?? (1:32)
It was editing, she filmed that part after she completed the steps. Movie magic
