      Please try to check the resistor for change value. If all components were good, then try to do voltage measurement for 24v and 5v (take care with the live 220v.) If you are getting the proper supply then probably it require proper adjustment on the vr's.

    If we cancel the time trimpot in the circuit, will the relay be active as long as it sees an obstacle ?

    I bought a solar street floodlight. The sensor can only sense human presence when very close. How can I raise its sensitivity so that the floodlight lights up the area near our main door?
    Thank you for the nice video.

      Good day. If I'm not mistaken. Look for the adjustment (for outdoor it should be hidden to avoid water from entering and damage the unit) for the range, sensitivity and duration of the lights.

      @wamopa  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi, If you are using the same device, I presumed all the wiring's were correct. Then need to check the adjustment of sensitivity sensor from their you can adjust if your sensor will work during day time or night time.

    In such a device, motion works but the light goes off after 3-4 seconds even when the delay VR is set to max (5-6 minutes normally). Which component is faulty? TIA Christos/GR

      Good day, If the required voltage is correct then, I believe you have problem either one of the following cause by change value : 1. VR - check if there is broken pcb traces connected to your VR
      2. Capacitor, 3. Resistor. May I know the part number of the IC chip that used in your device?

    Mine keeps blinking when it is in off mode. What could be the problem? I found no problems with the diodes!

    • @wamopa
      @wamopa  Před 3 lety

      When you said off mode, you mean disconnected from mains? If not, Is the 5v supply present? If it's good, Then please be noted that this type of motion sensor have photo resistor (also known as (also known as a light-dependent resistor, LDR) that can be set the sensor to OFF during day time and ON during night time. Just properly adjust the sensitivity of the sensor.
      If non of the above works, if 5v supply is okay then kindly check the relay driver transistor.

    My pir sensor is always high,. I am connectting with relay but after few weeks it gives continuous high signal from signal pin can you please suggest what should i do or is am making wrong circuit

    • @wamopa
      @wamopa  Před 2 lety

      Hi good day. If previously working perfect as you mentioned. I believe the light sensitivity along with the distance range is properly adjusted. Two reason why your PIR sensor is always high.
      1. The sensor is always detecting a motion. e.g. any moving objects (even leaves)
      2. You have problem with your sensor IC/ driver transistor. (make sure you are getting the right voltage supply for your IC)

    • @dishantkashyaprock

      @@wamopai am giving 5v 1a smps or please suggest adequate voltage and current for pir sensor module?
      Thanks for your valuable time.

    • @wamopa
      @wamopa  Před 2 lety

      @@dishantkashyaprock Are we having the same model? or you have a standalone one?
      If you have standalone module then 5v 1A is more than enough. But make sure that the required voltage for your module is correct.
      If we have the same model then 5v is not sufficient for your module. If you check the PSU diagram in my video, the supply is 24Vdc and with 2.2K ohm resistor in series to 24v + 5.2v zener diode to give 5v dc to the PIR module.

    • @wamopa
      @wamopa  Před rokem

      You mean to say... Do you want the light to be open during the daytime once motion is detected? If i'm correct, then just adjust the sensor on your light sensor
