NG means No Good and the unit becomes unresponsive because it is going into its self-diagnostic mode. Only the on/standby button will work on the unit and will automatically turn off after 3min. The remote will not work at all. It will do this when the protection circuit has been triggered. A short (momentary or prolonged) can trigger the protection circuit but can also cause permanent hardware damage that results in the protection circuit being tripped every time until the unit has been repaired. The issue may not have been caused by you though so don't be too quick to blame yourself but if you did happen to notice you had done something, it will explain the issue. It does sound like you should be taking this back to where you bought it and get it repaired or replaced if you can't simply clear the message and unfortunately, the NG points to that being the case. The NG:L R BLBR is telling you that the amplifier is damaged (No Good) and those channels need repair (L R BLBR).

включения происходит полный сброс. (Выбор языка и т.д.)
У меня причина была в том, что он не вышел из режима диагностики, потому что я использовал BI-AMP.
Если запускать режим диагностики вручную и использовать BI-AMP, всегда возникает ошибка NG.
Без Bi AMP работает без проблем."
После такого сброса (получилось раза с 4), появилась надпись clear, и все заработало

Hi. My model is 9800 thx. Getting key locked , F.IR LOCK messages. Tried resetting by power and cbl/sat and bd dvd keys. No improvements. Through remote it’s not working however with my app in the phone it responds. Need ur support.
I have an integra dtr 20.7 all buttons on front panel doesn't work. Neither does the remote. But it does work with the phone app. That confirms a problem on the main MCU. Turns out to be a factory fault that onkyo acknowledges.

1.While holding down CBL/SAT on the unit (Do not release this button until step 2 is finished.)
2.Press ON/STANDBY on the unit. "Clear" is appeared on the display and the unit will enter standby mode.
Resetting method of the remote controller
1.While holding down 1 RCV (Do not release this button until step 2 is finished.).
2.Press and hold 2 HOME until the 3 remote indicator lights (about 3 seconds). Within 30 seconds, press 1 RCV again.

O meu entrou em modo proteção, e consegui fazer ele volta ao normal agora quando desligo ele da tomada e ligo aparece amp speaker, se eu desliga ele só no controle sem tira da tomada não aparece a mensagem você saber o que poder ser!

There is no eny problems in your amplifier. First of all clean it properly. And then try to reset. If still the same error let me know
And reseting time pressing power button and cbl/sat.,,press first cbl/sat and press power in same time. But cbl/sat is first. I hope u can fix it

The NG:L R BLBR is telling you that the amplifier is damaged (No Good) and those channels need repair (L R BLBR).
How old is the unit?

I suggest you check all speaker connections, disconnect all speakers and see that this is the same, the problem is in the computer, if it does not indicate failure, then go connecting the speakers one by one until the fault appears again and in that last speaker connected, the fault could be, try all the speakers

first of all. remove the cover and clean with air blower. and reset the unit one time.

I couldnt do this in a million years. I dont have the finger dexterity to do this. I literally have this exact problem and Onkyo support just tells me to reset it or send it to my local shop. I called my local shop and they tell me they hate working on Onkyo products.

no need repair anything. your amplifier is on protection mode. first of all remove all speaker wires. remove top cover and clean with air blower. and then without connecting speaker wire just plug in the power ,and turn it on, after one mints reset unit. press and hold power button and CBL/SAT button till (clear ) appear in the display. if problem is same, let me know

S/D This is not a malfunction.
Incorrect settings on your Onkyo receiver can result in no sound. The digital input signal should be set to "Auto." Select the correct digital input source. Unplug headphones from the receiver when you are trying to use your system with the external speakers. Press the "Muting" button on the remote control to unmute your Onkyo receiver. Check the inputs and outputs to ensure they are correctly connected to the receiver. Adjust the volume controls so you can hear sound. The bare wires of the speakers should be in contact with the metal parts of the speaker terminal on the receiver. Check all speaker wire and power cords for shorts. Your Onkyo receiver is not compatible on its own with a turntable that uses an MC cartridge. You must connect an MC head amp or transformer to the Onkyo receiver before the turntable will work. Additionally, Onkyo reported that certain models made between 2009 and 2012 had a defective network chip that contributed to the loss of audio.

@@getec_GETEC I have onkyo TX RZ620 and the conected 4 speakers in paralelo. I belive what that to damage. You know I disconnected the light and espeakers for two hrs. And reset it using power + enter . Then I reset again using power plus + CBL/SAT. AND SURPRISE IT WORKED AGAIN . If someone has this problema let it go and it works for answering. Im going to respect the impedance and only connect 2 espeakers I think thats why it was protected. Congratulationes for the video and thanks for answering 👍👌👏🖐

HI there.. what is your onkyo amplifier model.?? did you try to reset.?? Use the power button to turn it off first, then unplug the unit, then hold the power button for approximately 10 seconds to dissipate any residual power within the device please.
