@@goffe2282 if you mixed troll and kaizo together (which does happen sometimes) then it would be a better comparison. Kacky maps are both trolly as hell and generally very super skill intensive with rare skills similar to Kaizo tech.
The last track was so hard my man went totally insane trying to validate his very own map for 30 hours. Absolutely hysterical. An actual gnome laugh of insanity upon finishing. Chefs kiss*

@@finesse5820 To add to this, the whole fiasco caused Nadeo to change ice physics as a whole to put controllers and keyboards on the same playing field, as well as adding a rule banning the use of customized action keys so players can't set things like 34% steering values.

Ah good to know i thought i was only one apart from mapper, seems like everyone just forgot about playing it. Even tekky only started like 3 days b4 end. It was a bit rough to hunt, but honestly wasnt too bad and was so hype when i finned it :D

I'm not sure this is possible. New hard Kacky maps might be produced at a faster rate than a pro can complete them.
@@galois6569Kacky isn't all year round, and every year people at least get close to finishing all 75. If people finish 75 in a month, even if there are 3 kackys a year (I think it's 2 now, original and reloaded) that should be possible

I thought tm2020 kacky was supposed to be more noob friendly than tmnf kacky, but there were so many absolutely insane maps this year.
As much as I'd like to see easy kacky maps, I don't think kacky is meant for noobs. By definition, it employs extremely difficult tricks, that primarily only pros would know what to do.

Well they were easier at the beginning simply because it was a new game. People were still discovering how to take advantage of the the new surfaces and physics. Now that the game is 3 years old players have a much better understanding of how to break the game in half lol
@@PPedroFernandes but the numbers just do not show that, forget the actual difficulty of maps, this even has the highest relative difficulty to the skill of players, easily, out of any KR event, probably KK as well. 69/75 for a winner is very low, and goes to show that even at the highest level this is getting ridiculous. imo
Love watching Kacky, I had installed the game earlier this year after watching your last Kacky and was playing for a little to try and learn and prepare to have some fun in this Kacky, but stopped playing. Love watching the videos and congrats on 34th! This kacky looked insane for sure!

As someone who only watches Trackmainia and doesn't play, I have to remind my brain that these Kacky runs are being done by people and aren't TAS. So much insane patience, dedication, and tons of skill go into this event. It's crazy to me.

man some of these kacky maps are failing the idea of "1 silly trick made hyper difficult". they just take like... 5 known mechanics and make a ridiculously hard trial checkpoint out of them all combined.
I was the mapper of 286, the first one shown in the video and I can tell you now that maps like that don’t get accepted anymore. A lot mappers, myself included, submitted many short 1 trick maps but the jury that put together the map pack didn’t accept many of them because they set their standards a little too high, a mistake they have since realised was a poor one and have apologised for. They still did an amazing job putting the event together though.
I'm gonna be honest speny, thats what some people have said about your maps. All a lot of cool ideas but its only one trick. Heard some people say if you take some of your maps and just full focus on only a couple its a really good map. I fully agree with you, even though one trick might be nice, maps with different elements do very well and thats what i like about 286@@GameReviewsXX

That validation clip is literally a mental asylum sound clip, there’s no way that was a sane person that was playing TM2020
Mappers should have a limit amount to validate their map. This would be a good way to limit how crazy they are.

Anyone remember the old Elasto Mania? I remember making really difficult maps and challenging my friends. They mostly never got them and hated me for it when I showed them how it was done. I basically made Kacky maps for Elasto Mania 😮

Trackmania finally works on Intel Arc natively (still crashes and had graphical issues). But I am finally able to finish a few of the campaign maps. However... my CPU is now overheating.
Well, don't feel too bad, I've only been playing for 6 days and I'm not even *allowed* to play the kacky maps....

So a mapmaker creates a map nobody can beat... but you have to beat a map to upload it. So why aren't the mapmakers destroying these competitions with their insane skills?
Take the last kacky map shown in this video as an example.
The mapmaker needed 30 hours to validate it.
Only 15 minutes or something per session on the server, considering that some of these maps took 30+ hours to validate there's no way you can consistently get runs in the event.
Though 251 (Massive reactor flight map) was finished like 3rd day in by the mapper, and was like the only fin on the map for a solid week or so.
Map makers aleady know their maps more than anyone else. And note that most mappers had only 1 or 2 maps accepted
And also note that tekky had 296 and 297 in the event. So technically yes mappers are destroying this event
That's like asking "hey, if a speedrunner got world record, why can't they just get it again?"
These maps take ages to beat even if you are skilled

no way, I know EXACTLY what that laugh was in that validation clip. Sure, in a roundabout way it is a "I can't believe that laugh", but more so than anything that is 100% the evil and devious ass laugh you make knowing just how rediculous that map is going to be for other people, and he can't believe at that moment just how many people will suffer because of it.

It's crazy that if you were to get 70 maps and spend only 2.5 hours on a map on average, which for kacky isn't that much, it's as time-consuming as a regular job. Well done Tekky.

If you think 30 hours is a long time for validating a level, you should see ChainChompBrayden's Trials of Death in super Mario maker, it took him several thousand hours to upload the level successfully
