I attended his concert in New York. He was just an amazing artist; 20,000 people attended his concert in Japan. His performance was so loved in Japan, it was broadcast many times over and over again.
Man, I met Barıs in person as he came to our house, I was 7-8 and he was a good friend to my dad. Now I am 42 and I could compare this song only to Cream and other Brit bands of the era. Can you imagine what Barıs could be if he was born in England?
Finally, an intelligent reaction to this masterpiece of psychedelia! I also love his song, Runaway which is more garagey but kinda haunting. I second the recc for Cem Karaja, his voice is just unreal. And the Bill Hicks clip was inspired. Good to ear rn actually.
Baris does not need to hear mentioned words from this youtuber. He got place at the hearts of millions from different nations. He is one of the master of the music in his period.
Hey luke. You said honorary British citizen. Barış Manço is already known as a cultural ambassador. He has Turkish, English, Italian and Spanish songs. I think it's the common heritage of the whole world.
You're really smart. I'll miss your reactions videos, they were the best Turkish reactions videos ever, but I understand you don't want to do anymore. Hope you do all the work in your life in the best way like this. much love to you too x ☮☮💙😎

my brother BARIS is a citizen of the world. He is not recognized only because he was born with a Turkish passport. BARIS is a beloved artist even in Japan
Hello, I watch your reaction whenever I can and I am glad that you appreciate the talent of Baris Manço. Do you have any information regarding his background? I mean his mother was a turkish art music singer and a teacher in the national conservatoire. And Manço has touched the life of various generations through his tv program "from 7 to 77" where there were sections for little children, the elderly and the ages in between. He also made a travel program and visited many many countries representing Turkey much better than an official ambassador would do. He was turkish but had also belgian nationality, in fact he was a first class World Citizen in every way. He was (and still is in a way, as turkish people still remember him and his doings and advices: understanding, brotherhood, respect, education, etc. etc.) an inspiration especially because of his humanism. We miss him so much..... especially in today's world full of ignorance, intolerance, aggressiveness towards the other... :( And my sincere thanks to you for keeping his memory alive ..
Life is a trip but if you catch it. If you underdtand, you go higher. If you don't, you just stay down there. Just as it is told at the end of this video. You understand and join in peace or you choose to regret the truth and kill those who defend peace. That's what I understand from this song. And Luke, you are a good man, you are. 🤘👍
Life is a trip that we dont know when it ends, our lifespan is the rollercoaster, we are the passengers. You will understand it when you listen a cover of Âşık Veysel, Uzun ince bir yoldayım from Barış Manço and Cem Karaca.
The song belongs to the period they worked with "Kaygızlar". Barış Manço worked with Mazhar Fuat Özkan in the Kaysızlar group. I also recommend you to listen to my favorite band, MFÖ. 🎸❤️
