An, I really enjoy your videos and the knowledge you share, and the care you give these birds. I am glad that you connected me to Troy. He has been very helpful in providing guidance and advice as I work on my own indoor aviary. Thank you for what you contribute to this hobby and the preservation of these species. I can tell you I love my birds and they are great for my emotional well being.
PINTAILS omg my dream finch. I adore parrotfinches- if I could work with only one group, parrotfinches would be it. How heartbreaking for their previous family! Thank you for the update.
Happy New Year An! I’m so excited to see what you will accomplish with this coming year! I know the Pin tails were in your wishlist. I hope you have a successful breeding story with them! They’re my dream birds too, but they are not available in Hawai’i:(
Hello An, Oh how I have missed you and your lovely birds. Thank you for making this wonderful update. Watching your videos always make me smile. I wish you, your family and all your feathered friends a very happy and healthy New Year 💚💙💜
Happy New Year An! Downsizing is hard on a person, no doubt about that. This spring will be a big culling of the Gouldians, there are a few other species I want to add, and try breeding. Never a dull moment... especially as everyone is parent raised....
Dull moments? What are those? Between trying to figure out new species and how to breed them, and figuring out which new species will fit in with the flock, but its never boring....
I had a gouldian with that same neurotic behavior. Named him boomer like a boomerang. I added him to my aviary, and he stopped the behavior after about 3 months. I think adding her would cause this behavior to stop. I think it's a mix of boredom, energy, and youth.
Happy New Year,im in Jax Fl.I have Finches,2 Manchins,2 Bangalore,2 Zebra Finches, and 4 baby Zebras. Is it normal for Zebras to lay a lot of infertile eggs,be for they have another broad?
zebras are known for being very prolific. Infertility can be caused by a lot of factors but if they are laying a lot of eggs be aware it is very hard on the females to do so, it may be smart to separate out the females and give them 6 months or so to rest (it can be hard to get them to stop laying!) and then try again.

Glad Boomer is doing great in the aviary!
Can you do a tutorial on your aviary decor and how you placed your plants?
if you have seen the initial aviary build videos I think I cover pretty much everything about the greenery I could think of.
