      Hey...I told it I love it. Man, I paid good money to get it out of the bushes too. Trust me, its a lot better of here at the Classic Truck Ranch. You got to admit that its an ugly old thing though.

    If all those old trucks could talk you would spend a lifetime listening to them all. I love what your doing . this is history these trucks built America and deserve some love .

      I've often said "I wish they could talk". And you are right, I would listen to every story they had to tell. Thanks, -Rick

    I live in the UK and love these old American Trucks the problem we have in England is with the way that they love putting salt on the roads when we have ice and snow and we all now what salt does to cars/trucks not so bad with the newer ones as they are better protected.
    I remember back in the 1960s when I was young I bought cars only 3 or 4 years old and they had holes rusted in them so lots of our classic cars and trucks just rotted out there are plenty of old land rovers still on the road but that is only because

    • @weaton25
      @weaton25 Před 7 lety

      Sorry pressed the wrong button and it posted before I had finished the thing about land rovers much like old jeeps you can buy everything from a new engine to a new chassis.
      These trucks will be going to car collecters who will make them like new or keep them looking used but in perfect working order and only toke them out in summer when there is no salt on the road keep up the good work.

Next up is "Grandpa", a 1950 GMC 900-series diesel that I literally hacked out of the bushes, got running and drove home. -Rick

    Love the videos! I'm 15 and I bought myself a 1948 chevy dump truck with 20,000 original miles. It has hardly any rust and it runs like a dream. Your videos really inspired me. Thomas

      That is VERY cool Thomas. Wow...20,000 miles! I bet that's a real beauty. Someone must've really loved that old thing, as I'm sure you do. Hang on to it....its a rare thing to come across and it will only go up in value. Glad you liked the videos too. Classic Truck Rescue -Rick Thank's 'Fer Watchin' Peace-Out!

    This is fantastic! We actually now own the 1951 GMC over here in England. We bought it last year after it had passed hands a couple of times with no work being done to it. We now have it running, new glass in it and all the weather seals being replaced while we are waiting for its licence plate to arrive. We still dont have a speedo guage for it though haha. Awesome video to watch, thanks Rick! Emily & Dave

    need to keep american classics in america

    • @cmwilson1973
      @cmwilson1973 Před 9 lety

      Send foreign cars of all years back where they came from. Wouldn't bother me a bit. I love american classics and feel we are running out. Before we know it, all the other countries will have our american classics just so people here can make a fast buck. BTW, no need to poke fun at a screen name. I was just posting an opinion. I did not imply anything upon you.

    • @ClassicTruckRescue
      @ClassicTruckRescue  Před 9 lety +3

      +Average Joe Should we also send all of the Vintage "Foreign" cars back to the countries we got them from? I would MUCH rather send a truck to Europe and see someone in another country who has always appreciated and loved and wanted one of those old American trucks show it some love and make it beautiful than to see an American hold it hostage in his field and watch it rot into the ground. -Rick

    • @ClassicTruckRescue
      @ClassicTruckRescue  Před 7 lety +2

      Well, I'd say it makes me more sad than furious. What does make me mad is when someone has a classic sitting in the weeds and they refuse to sell it to someone who will treat it better or fix it up. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick

      Military Chevy Does it have Diamond plate on the bedsides What year? Chevy or GMC? I move my trucks around all the time. Because what is sitting next to me red tow truck right now, and when the 1941 chevy &1951 GMC video was made is a 1959 GMC that is turquois. and it doesn't have any primer on the bed. -Rick

      iamrichrocker Sorry it took so long to get back to you Rich. As far as the condition of the trucks when they arrive overseas, all I can tell you is that I haven't heard any horror stories from my customers. All I can do on my end is ensure that they are loaded up safely and inventoried. -Rick

    Why do you not discuss what you paid for each truck or what they sold for?

    • @ClassicTruckRescue
      @ClassicTruckRescue  Před 8 lety +1

      I discuss buying and selling prices in many of my videos. If I don't, it is because the buyer or seller has asked me not to disclose that. I have to respect the wishes of those I deal with, that is why a lot of people even consent to my filming our deals in the first place. Hope that makes sense and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
