      @Jeremy Rosa I wonder if something changed because the people near him are busier dealing with Rakarth. That's a shame. If you're right around there, it might be worth it to abandon your homeland and just regroup at 8 peaks

    • @chromeS220
      @chromeS220 Před 3 lety +1

      @@DameOffensive That's very possible. In my last couple campaigns, Reikland was struggling with Rakarth. I do plan on continuing with this one though; as you mentioned, owning Black Crag and 8-peaks is far more valuable than the starting region, particularly when Karaz-a-Karak and Barak Varr are thriving.

    • @DameOffensive
      @DameOffensive  Před 3 lety +1

      Aw unfortunately enough things have changed that I think what may be more viable is running a miners with bombs stack to take out Skarsnik and then make your way to K8P a bit later. Especially since at that point you should theoretically have 2 runes of spite (1 from crafting, 1 from grudges).

      @DameOffensive  Před 2 lety +1

      I have been meaning to update this one since the rework - you can now afford to spam miners with blasting charges so you don't have to rush to K8P as fast. That way you can get Skarsnik first, then go there

    Quick question: What if Skarsnik makes a move on the Vaults while you're heading to Karak Eight Peaks?

    • @DameOffensive
      @DameOffensive  Před 3 lety

      If you can't defend it because walls aren't up yet, just let it go. Black Crag and K8P are way more valuable than that area. Depending on the timing, you may be able to start recruiting a new army there if you got K8P already.

    • @DameOffensive
      @DameOffensive  Před 3 lety +1

    I'm curious, why quarrelers and not rangers?

    • @DameOffensive
      @DameOffensive  Před 3 lety

      I tested both and I just found quarrelers performed better. This continues to be true with the Belegar skill tree update, but I have found miners with blasting charges are also pretty good if you're more interested in wiping out Skarsnik first. They're cheaper to keep a full stack of and then you can build up your starting area

    Im sorry but none of this guide works, the first thing that happens by turn 4, about 3 full goblin doomstacks assault Izor for me, the wood elves go on a purging spree of the yellow goblin faction, razing every city they have leaving me with nothing, the orcs by turn 6 in the badlands are running rampant, karak a karaz has fallen to Grimgor, the savage orcs control near all the land south of that and the skaven are always steam rolling the old world, and this is happening in my game EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! and im playing on normal, I never understand these ludicrous guides showing people running up to karak 8 peaks at turn 11 and somehow cheesing it with corner camping where when i finally get to 8 peaks theres a massive hill infront of my deployement zone, lightning striking is not an option despite me having it, and im being assaulted by 7 doomstack orc armies, dwarves are a FUNDAMENTAL level in the games current state do not inherently function......

    • @DameOffensive
      @DameOffensive  Před 2 lety

      This guide was made before the dwarf update, so some things have changed. I have heard comments from people though that, in general, the plan still works. Do you have mods running? No faction could hit Karak Izor with 3 goblin stacks by turn 4 in the vanilla game. At most, you would see 3 individual factions, but that's super unlikely.
      I completely agree though that Dwarfs are in a bad state. They're very hard right now. With Belegar, you can do OK early game now with dwarf miners with blasting charges. They're very strong and they get boosted by him. Might work out a bit better for you
