Great video, exactly what I was looking for. I'm sure others had said on the comments when making the door, instead of moving it to one side wall, s p lit it in the middle and bend them both in, that will get rid of the need to the patch on the left.

If it hasn't been mentioned, when you cut that door out cut up the middle instead of up one side. That should be enough to cover that gap on each side of the funnel

I talked with a guy a few years ago that trapped oil pipelines in Idaho. If he caught less then 25 a week he pulled that trap
@@JordansHarvest yeah I will have to modify a table so I can built traps as I can't get on the ground due to my hip and leg being dead cause of my wreck but I will for sure let you know how it goes! I'm already looking for things to build the table lol

Thank you! This frame would work perfectly for me with some slight modifications. I go out to catch abandoned chickens sometimes so with a different door mechanism and slightly different dimensions, this might be just what I need

Bobs don't seem to be as reliable or at least my set up. I watched a few muscle their way back out, but some times I can have up to 8 in the trap with no problem. So Idk. I'm going to try your style door on the next trap!

If you want people to be able to see what you're doing, hold it still for a moment. Don't hake it, slap it, and wave it around. Just pause for a moment so we can see. Simple? Oh, and don't pan the camera back and forth over and over. Just pan once and pan slowly so we can see.
Have you thought about using J-clips where you want a more rigid connection?
I haven’t! But I also haven’t had very good luck with J-clips in the past either

I’ve never made lanyards before
I have built 3 like this but I always have 4 doors in them and I build a water holder and food holder. It takes way more time but I don't have to check but once every 4-5 days I find the less I am around the better.
I’ll have to make one with 4 doors. I’ve put bowls in for water but never built them in before

Why dont you use tbars for the pidge trap door?
I like your trap I shoot them for dairies and others who what them gone but I have been ask by horse people and stables to remove them without using my pellet gun so I’m going to try out your trap thank you for the video

Another way and make a multi trap is use bob wires as used in racing pigeon lofts the birds enter the trap via the Bob wires but can't get out make a bigger trap and catch many more

That entry I saw how u cut it so that only the one side covered good. And you had to add a piece to the other side. Why not cut that down the middle so you can fold on both sides. You may not have to add anything. Maybe
Tune the trap. Right. Use 50 to 2 tuning oil.

@@JordansHarvest I have every evening when I show up to check them everyday around 6 there is about 70-100 birds like 2 ft away from the trap but just won't go in i have watched then for over a hour any other ideas you might have would be much appreciated
