Nothing is lost. But many things to get back. The glory.. the unity (though we have but have to strengthen) before the British arrived n all..etc etc. though our country has a very good tourism industry but still these things what you are seeing, the history n all.. be it Hinduism or Islamic or any other... a huge section of western world are not even aware of it. And it feels bad.

Nothing has been lost of Bharat. It is emerging from the shadows, pristine, magnificent, mystical as ever. Just wait, if the power brokers of the West do not destroy the world for some nefarious reasons, Bharatvarsh will show the way of salvation to the world. This has always been our reason for being.
Do you know Buddhidm, Jainism, and Sikhism have their roots in the Sanatan Dharm.
Dharm is NOT religion. Hindus follow the path of Dharma, and attain wisdom. If they do NOT follow dharm, they are a-dharmic. That means they are creating misery for others, and bad karma for self.

We always Like The Golden Temple more than Taj Mahal. The Architecture of The Golden Temple is Awesome. It Looks Wonderful in the Night with Superb Lighting. In fact Amritsar is the Holiest Place in India. No Discrimination is Done here & All The Devotees are Treated as Equals .No Agents, No Guides ,No Black Money Involved. Every Devotee Experiences Mental Peace & Solace only here. I Think that even the Heavens are Nothing In Comparison to this Ultimate Place.

    Golden Temple
the most sacred site in Sikhism
The Golden Temple, or Golden Gurudwara
is the holiest shrine of Sikhs. It was built in
late 16th century by Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji ,
and a copy of the Sikh scripture was
placed inside the Gurudwara in 1604. Its
sanctum walls were covered in marble and
the dome was decorated with gold foil by
Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 19th
century.[2] More than 100,000 people visit
this monument every monthworship God. The four entrances
(representing the four directions) to get
into the Harmandir Sahib also symbolise
the openness of the Sikhs towards all
    people and religions.[3]
The present-day gurdwara was rebuilt in
1764 by Jassa Singh Ahluwalia with the
help of other Sikh Misls. In the early
    nineteenth century, Maharaja Ranjit
Singh founded the Sikh Empire and
covered the upper fl oors of the gurdwara
with gold, which gives it its distinctive
appearance and its English name.[10] It
contains the Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, the
Sikh scripture. In June's 1984 the Golden.

This is the most beautiful temple. It's on my wish list. Sikh people should increase their population. Their birth rate is low. Bharat needs more patriotic people like Sikhs. I am very proud of my sikh brothers who sacrificed a lot for the country. Sikhism is also a part of Sanathan Dharma. I wish other Sanatani's were as patriotic and maintain our regular Hindu temples clean.

If my knowledge of British India history is correct, there was a massacre there which took about 400 lives in 1919 by the British.
