Pamlico Sound Fishing: Goose Creek State Park

I am VERY inexperienced when it comes to saltwater fishing, but that's something that I'm trying to change. I have found the "Fishbrain" app pretty helpful when planning what species to fish and what bait to use while fishing, but I am finding that my setup (rods, reels, fishing lines) are a little lacking. Despite my inexperience, I still managed to have a really successful day of fishing in the Pamlico River right near Goose Creek State Park (NC).
