I lost a friend to suicide the first summer of Covid. She was the biggest Swiftie I knew. Rather than get mired in grief and mourning, I chose to honour her by having as much fun as possible whenever Taylor's songs came up and think about my friend abandoning herself into these songs.
Hearing Teddy sing this has tears pouring down my face. I miss my friend. Thank you for this.

I love his vocal control, just hearing the start told me he had such great control of his voice in all its registers. His voice is so smooth and he’s singing beautifully. He has a such soft, impactful voice in the verses. I love the tone.

Okay, TS' songs are super hard to sing sometimes and this is especially true when it comes to Cruel Summer. So this is such an amazing cover bc the Cruel Summer vibe is still there, but he definitely was able to make his own rendition. I love it so much!

Do a good TS cover is truly a challenge and most people don´t really capture the essence of the song, but this was pretty good cover, he kept main essence of the song and put his own spin on it which is necessary for a good cover. Great job Teddy.
