Speaking of May Day, Brian really liked this song by Freddie. He thought it was one of his most hopeful. Can’t argue with that!

Freddie was so enamored with the performances of the boys, he suggested that they send the boys on the next tour instead of them going.

This is from The Miracle Album, Freddie was too,sick to tour, but still was dedicated to making music “till the day I fing die”. They interviewed and auditioned a bunch of kids for this.

So glad you played this!!! I loved when Freddie gave the kid a little kid on his forehead. I wished he could have a son, although he said he could buy one if he wanted lol, but he would rather have a cat. So funny, but it's said he loved children and was godfather to Mary's Austin first born . I often wondered about that.keep teaching us a little more about music than we knew. Love all the little nuences we missed
He also was godfather to one of Mack's sons, little Freddie Mack, he adored the boy.

I love this video and I love your take on it - the way they bring together the playfulness of having kids represent them and at the same time sing an important message to the world. It's so much fun to watch, but it always touches my heart too and brings tears to my eyes, because of Freddie's great spirit right to the end of his life. The boy that played all the Freddies is still acting. And all the boys did such a great job in this video. It must have been such a thrill for them playing with Queen. It would be so great to hear from them now.
Yes this video is great. The auditions for the kids took place in all Great Britain. The kid playing Freddie is Ross McCall, an actor. I don't know about the career of the other three.
What it's interesting apart the meaning of the song is that the melody seems to end at least three times and it starts again.

This is my favorite video and a darned good song by the band and written by Freddie Mercury himself. It was Fred's idea to have the boys in the video and the whole song and video we're just so adorable & precious. Nobody could say that Freddie Mercury didn't have a huge heart!

Had the pleasure of working on Queen's "its a kind of magic" tour.. I shifted Mr Taylors equipment to stage and off.. Remarkable gentleman all of them. But the boss "feddie" .. I just was absorbed by his manner and work ethics. We lost a beautiful human being there.

and i think he played Freddie in that 2016 film about Freddie that was filled with lies and rumors.

Yes, and being old enough to remember the culture at the time, a very meaningful message. That transition at the end is incredible. Oh and one of those actors the child that played Freddie, was in the Band of Brothers. (I think)
McCall was born in Port Glasgow but was raised largely in England. His older brother, Stuart, is a policeman in Sussex. His mother, Maggie, was a nurse.[1] His first notable screen role was at the age of 13 when he appeared as Freddie Mercury in the 1989 music video for the Queen song "The Miracle"

Brian said it was one of the most beautiful songs Freddie wrote finding miracles in everyday life especially since he was dealing with a deadly disease. It sure was a fun video.
I just noticed that I don’t think you have ever reacted to Killer Queen 1974 Top of the Pops. It was their first song that hit the charts here in the US and the first song that showcased the “Queen sound” with their harmonies. They really got everyone’s attention and after this they went off and Freddie introduced his Bohemian Rhapsody to the group and the rest is history as they say!

I don't have the words to express how much I love this video, & I'm so glad that you reacted to it. You wondered if the kids realized that they were in the presence of legends. There is an adorable photo of Angelina Jordan with the members of KISS. I wish there were a way to share it with you. If you're on Facebook you might be able to find it on Angelina's page. There's also an Angelina fan page on FB, two, in fact. One has a series of photos of Angelina with various celebrities. I wonder how many of them know that they are in the presence of a legend.

Loooong time ago, when i was young, i attended to the casting for this Queen-video. It was a huge hall full of kids, having fun and acting like Queen! Somewhere is a making-of video incl. the casting ... maybe there is a video with only the casting. I made it - as Freddie - in the next round, but first of all I was too young they said and second problem - which probably kicked me out of the casting: As I was a german kid, I couldn't speak english and so I had no idea what they were telling me or were talking about ^^+gg It's like: If I would speak german to you, you have no clue what I am talking or I want you to do ... but it was a nice experience anyway and I met the band :-)
My favourite Queen video ever. So creative. This is one of Brian's favourite songs written by Freddie. He thinks the lyrics are just beautiful especially when you think it was written when Freddie had a terminal disease

I absolutely love this song and video. In the "Days Of Our Lives" documentary, Brian May said this was Freddie's most beautiful song because of all the hope and joy in it despite what he was going through. (This album was the one where all songs are just credited to Queen -- a decision made after Freddie was diagnosed -- but Freddie wrote this one.)

Always love your reactions. You see things others miss. The kids were great, the song was great, loved Freddie hugging mini-Freddie. Favorite line, if every child on every street had clothes to wear and food to eat. Queen and Freddie were miracles themselves. I feel like somehow I know Freddie, he’s that visceral. Best to you Hap, love your personality, always a smile, now with a great stance.

Those kids don't just have the outfits down, but they must have studied Queen, because they had a lot of their gestures down pat.
I always envy those lucky lucky kids! I loved it when the real band members came out standing beside the kids like proud daddies! Brian has said that this was Freddie's favorite song. Its sort of a mini tour of the different looks Freddie took on over Queen's history. The long hair and harlequin catsuit was in the early to mid 70's, up till '77, the leather biker look was in the late 70's, the iconic 1985 Live aid look and the yellow military jacket he wore after. If you noticed Freddie is already losing weight cause he's in his last days. Also he has grown a beard to hide the sores and scabs of the AIDS taking over his body. To me I took the meaning of the song as if they are saying if one generation goes away there will always be the next to replace it and hopefully one day will come when we all can be friends.
