THIS is how it's done! So many people focus on the wedding and neglect the marriage. We spent $0 on our wedding 18 years ago. That's because the church body all came together and pitched in. It was a beautiful wedding, but not as beautiful as you guy's wedding. More power, blessings to you both!

Hi Kiara. I had a $1000 wedding. My husband and I got married in a beautiful downtown event space where they performed pop up weddings. I wore a $99 bridesmaid dress from David’s bridal with a silk bouquet. My husband wore a navy jacket, tan slacks and a blue and white striped shirt we found on the clearance rack at K&G. He looked like a naval officer.
Our immediate family attended the ceremony and met us back at my grandmothers house where we ate takeout from our favorite seafood restaurant on her “good china”. Our cake was a delicious carrot cake with buttercream flowers from the neighborhood bakery.

Ya he was so worried because his sister was saying huge amounts and I told him about clearance rings and took him shopping and he got so excited at all the options. He saw nice expensive rings at a great discounted price. Made me love it more haha

Hi, I was not going to comment because I'm listening at work😳but I stopped processing cause you are correct, you do NOT come into someone's house and not speak🤣🤭my daughter is getting married in September, she's having an intimate ceremony with parents (3), grandparents, siblings (4), nieces and nephews (10) but the reception will be around 100 close friends and family so just getting ideas, this will be the second daughter I've had to marry, one more to go and I'm done🤭, their styles are so different but this one will be much easy and relaxed, $5000 is my budget, the venue is $2600 but she says that's too much for a few hours and thinking of a home reception (we have the space) thanks for all you shared 💞

The smartest way to go. It's a few hours event, and a shame to spend thousands of dollars to please majority of quests that are not friends or close relatives of the bride and groom. It's a life time marriage not a life time wedding. I am proud of the couple that go this route.
