    Great job, Super realistic as I would expect a tank to look like after being in combat for an extended period. 3-Tone German Camouflage is so iconic along with the " Panzer grey" early war tanks

    Good day from France.
    Great painting job and very interesting techniques of fading the camouflage pattern. You've done a wonderful model. Waiting for the incoming video for the weathering. Thanks again and keep modelling on. Best regards. François Bazan 🐕‍🦺🐾🐈🐾

    This man’s work is a masterpiece. The idea of going back to a previous work and re-engineering it into a more mature, battle damaged and worn version of its former self is smart. But the technique is even smarter. I’m ashamed to be a modeler with the skills I have when compared to this man. If he walked by, I would salute smartly and turn my back in shame at the chasmic difference in our modeling skills. Anyway, loved every minute of this. One thing on PE though. I think it works 90% of the time, especially if you want to do something dynamic to it, but on larger objects and some small, the fullness of the original styrene plastic beats the tinny, box-like PE. Otherwise, if you can do PE well, I’d do it often . But this model is well-nigh a work or art.

      Thanks a lot for your kind words, happy you like my work🙏 pe parts are most of the time an upgrade in my opinion as they are far more detailed and more in scale, even bigger parts are often thicker in plastic than they should be. And at this model it was kind of a challenge to myself to build as much pe parts as possible. So this model has by far the most pe I ever made on a single model.

      @@biberhunter_scale_models one can tell a true Master when he has a philosophy about his art. When to do this. When to do that. That’s wisdom and true knowledge which is power. Edification is due here. I’m humbled by your art. I can only aspire to your level of accuracy and authenticity. But it’s the education on the way there which ends up becoming wisdom which you are giving me. Thanks for your level-headed response and true mastery of an art form. Most of the best scale modelers on CZcams like you, coldemonspl, Night Shift etc.. take mere scale modeling and elevate it to a true art form. The use of dioramas, etc is art. It brings us back to an era in the 20th Century fraught with pain, suffering, yet hope and peace. But the accuracy and attention to detail is stunning and only impels modelers like me to work so much harder to become that which we admire. Thank you Sir. Dan

    It should be worth it to use a good primer before the top coats. It's extra work but if you are going to add much detail, historic accuracy, time, and yes, beauty, the end results are the real worth! Danke

      Well, I wouldn't say that Vallejo Hobby Paint is a bad primer, it's excellent with self leveling and gives good results, you just have to be careful and apply it in short bursts. You'll have no problems then and saved a lot time. Bitte schön.

    Metal canon on a model where you paint the gun is total waste and makes no sense.

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Před 11 měsíci +1

      So everything else like pe parts and other building techniques don't make sense too when you paint it anyway? I disagree here, a metal gun saves time and effort to transform a two part plastic gun barrel into one smooth, perfectly round part, so there is a lot of sense here. I don't think you have a popular opinion here🤔

      @@biberhunter_scale_models Saves time, destroy the art of modeling yes.
      not all metal parts are waste, some makes more details, but not the canon.

    • @biberhunter_scale_models
      @biberhunter_scale_models  Před 11 měsíci +2

      @@nikolajc7617 I disagree here too. People like me with family and time consuming jobs, who spend weeks on building a model like this with a lot of different materials and techniques, where is the problem using a metal gun barrel. It's about modeling and the thing you make out of it. The more embarrassing issue to me are people who maybe never build a model at all telling others what are do's and dont's in the hobby where are endless possibilities to do it🤷‍♂️
