by default your steam files are located at C:Program Files Steam folder, open your antivirus, then go to settings and click trust list (not all antivirus have same configuration tab for trust list), there you can add folders of steam. your antivirus will not block any programs that you run in your steam folder. (if you store your games in other drives make sure to add them also to the trust list of your antivirus. hope this helps. @@MsThomasRC

all you gotta do is open steam file location and delete appcache and then reopen steam it will update and create a new appcache file automatically and you are good to go. but remember before yo udo that make sure no any steam in running in the task manager thank me later
