I'm 67 now and 1970 seems a long way off now . I was a 1969/70/71 Skinhead then..loved the fashion music and sometimes the fighting, strangely enough never git into many fights but was always prepared for it 😮 Good on you guys for promoting and running these Skinhead reunions 😮 Would love to attend in the future great music 😀🎶 and great vibes.... I was a proud skinhead but my stomping ground was Hastings although we came from London, we had a caravan in winchelsea. Great stuff, glad to see the Traditional Skinheads movement is still alive and kicking 😮

Total respect to these boys and girls. Just gone back to the days when myself and my mates from Hartlepool were doing exactly this in our teens. Best years of our lives cos we didn't give a shit except the music, dancing and girls. Love it........😀

I so wish I was there my best mate was a rude boy skin from Birmingham who tragically died in 2012 but we fly the flag in Australia playing ska and reggae in Brisbane to all our fellow brothers and sisters in the UK we salute you , boots n braces forever my friends we love ya downunder
I absolutely love the music and pics, but the spirit of '69 was spoiled by the one pic of the clown in the last resort t-shirt. well, I suppose there always has to be one! KTF
While they're maybe not for everyone, especially if ska is your thing, but personally I really like the Last Resort and to be fair a lot of the people here probably grew up in the 80s. I like the Vol.1 Skinhead Anthems best. I think that guys shirt is the cover of Vol.2. Some of the stuff on that Vol.1 album is surprisingly very doomy.. Iommi like Sabbathian guitar sound. I like a lot of different bands and genres. I never really was one for the only listening to one genre.. sure I have my preferred genres. But its surprising sometimes how varied people's music playlists are. Some musicians I know who one would think are die hard to their genre listen to some stuff I'd never expect them to.

Only thing is Skinheads didn't ride Vespa scooters. Mods did. I liked the ska music out of Britian with groups such as The Specials, Bad Manners, The Beat . From 1979_1982. Trojan label put out classics.
I was a skinhead in 1969 and a number of skinheads I knew rode Lambretta scooters. There has always been a divide between smarter dressed youth going for scooters and the rock crowd going for motorcycles.
Anyone know the "Skinhead Girl" tune and Fu Man Chu at the end ?. FU Man Chu sounded a little like Desmond Decker or Ken Boothe, the other one not so sure.
Great reminder of a time people having very little choice as a crowd to express themselves either in music or appearance. We all tried to be individuals among everyone else, how we dressed, the way we presented our thoughts and ourselves to the world… some were far from the reality of it being an era in life getting tattoos they must now regret… my mate, proper skin back then, tattoos of tear drops, cobwebs and hinges, dotted line, f”@k you on the inside of his lip, bulldog’s English flag, but one I know brings remorse was a large symbol that the German army used during the war on the side of his head….probably wears a hat now? Thanks for sharing your love of a time that today people couldn’t comprehend how great it was to experience, our generation paved the future of being individuals who were together as one…. now everyone thinks they’re individuals, though unknowingly belonging to one yes everyone will stand alone now….basically!
