I've used Borax for years to get smells out of laundry--like when I left the load in the washer too long and needed to neutralize the sour or mildew smell. I would run the load again with some Borax and no more funky smell. Gotta remember to go put that load into the dryer!
I do the ice cube thing with tea ...
I make tea I put it in an ice cube tray and then I can add it to my tea later to cool it off if it starts to get warm and it won't be watered down 👍👍
I’m an interior detailer… I’m sure it works but always use two rags …. One to clean one to polish out.
I love finding someone who enjoys the cheap cleaning supplies. Here are a couple. Keep Plastic Wrap in the Freezer when you tear it off it Won't stick to itself if you can't cut it turn it around. #2 Shaving Cream use it on your carpets and uppostery. Yes you can remove even Red Wine from white carpet uppostery

I use nothing but MOTHER'S products on/in my car. And clean bar towels which are like cotton baby diapers to get any moisture spots/streaks
I have used Borax in my laundry for years but never thought to clean my dishwasher and filter with it!

Soak paper towel in vinegar place around tab. Then scran wrap tight leave overnight. Clean. Works for me.
Borax is great for killing fleas. Sprinkle on the carpet, wait 10-15 minutes and vacuum. It's not a one time trick, but it works and keeps the area smelling clean.😊
I love my scrub Daddy dish wand. Borax is awesome. Never thought to use on dishwasher filter or dishwasher. I use Afresh in my washer and dishwasher
And for furniture or the car upholstery...a wet rubber dish glove magically removes pet hair
Thank heavens I’m not the only person who cleans their dishwasher & washing machine! I use Borax to clean them once a week. I hoover my frig coils and clean underneath it and my oven as well. Our frig is over 23 years old and has never had an issue, knock on wood! My grandparents bought the same frig as ours and had to replace it twice before I took over cleaning my Nana’s house. Borax is AMAZING.

Best tool for cleaning carpeted stairs...the wire bristle pet brush...will not only clean your carpet and get the dust fuzzies and hair but also " refluffs" it and makes it look like brand new!!!

I just recently found you on CZcams. I love your videos and hacks. I hope you don’t mind I thought I would mention a couple of things that you might not know about. If you come across glass containers with candle wax stuck in the bottom, place the containers in the freezer. After they’ve been in a while, take them out and the wax will pop right out.
Also, a reminder to people who have hard water; use distilled water in your steam machines, etc. I have ruined a couple of machines by using our very hard water.
One more… I found the following drink carrier and dollar tree. I set it on my bed and put my remotes and anything I want handy in it. It’s not pretty, but it’s handy to have a smaller thing on the bed with handy items.

Re: the soap holder I had a couple of bars of soap that were not being used very fast. I inserted them into lengths of that white plastic stretchy mesh that garlic comes in (at Aldi?). It works great. The soap lathers still and you have the extra friction of the plastic mesh to help scrub your hands when doing yard work or crafts. The soap that lasts so long is that Kirk's castile soap. I just cut one bar in half and put one at the bathroom and the other at the kitchen sink. Economical and effective.

Honestly with all the dark tile, wood floors, stainless and granite you have in your home, I'd invest in a reverse osmosis system.

I found leaving the grapes on the vine, they last much longer. Taking them off, turns the part where the vine was very brown. That is, if they don't get eaten in a couple of days.

Clorox or disinfectant wipes as well as glass cleaner wipes also work well on getting a streak free shine. I also use it to clean the leather then use a leather conditioner as well.
I have my sponge wand in a mason jar next to my faucet with the sponge up.

The newer top loading wash machines dont have a place to add fabric softener and so I get the softener spots on clothing, any hacks? Also this is the first time ive had issues with knats hovering above my kitchen sink, i have sticky traps and I never leave my sink wet or with dirty dishes. I do have a couple plant pieces that are in a small glass of water til roots grow then i can plant, i changethe water out every 2 days. How can i get rid of these annoying bugs?!😊😊
Soak a cloth with vinegar & wrap it around the faucet when you go to bed. In the morning it will come clean with very little scrubbing.
I guess I am easily influenced! I recently bought a little bag with handles and some black micro fiber cloths plus a metal spray bottle for a car cleaning kit. I hung it from the head rest (no one sits in the back seat) so it is always available to clean the dash/ shift area, inside door and windows/windshield. Now that we have instant winter here, I will have to see if my cleaner freezes next...I can recommend the black micro fiber wash cloths for this as they are just the right size for a quick clean up.

I cant see how a over the phone or video therapist would work. One, body language cant be seen over the phone and 2, video can hide some as well. I personally dont like being on video, so I avoid all digital meetings, videos, etc. I am glad I can still drive to my therapist. I am also glad this is available for the ones who can use it.
Vinegar works great also. Put some paper towel on the wreath & soak it with vinegar.
Any preference for apple cider vinegar vs. hydrogen peroxide for grapes, etc.?
I wonder if you check out friends' homes and ask if you can use their less than clean areas to demonstrate a product.

I've tried the blade on my quartz, it scratches it. Check in a small area first!!
Key to not scratching is to use a slippery cleaner with the blade

I have to mention a few things about the Granite Gold Products. The polish is not intended to be a cleaner. It is intended to be used AFTER a cleaning with the Granite Gold Daily Cleaner. Also the Sealer should not be right after the polish, rather after a good cleaning. That said, I think Granite Gold Products are great. I wish I would use them more regularly. Borax is wonderful for many things. I use special a cleaning tablet for my dishwasher every month. It has made a huge difference. We have very hard water and soap scum would built up. DH and I spent way too much time taking the DW apart to clean all that greasy skum. The tablets end that and even if they cost a couple of $$ each. It saves so much time and the dishes are cleaner. I am as frugal as the next person BUT sometimes, like with Granite Gold, spending extra saves time and stress.
Where does one purchase Borax in tablet form?
@@jennyeagan1840 The tablet is not Borax. I use the brand Affresh but there are others, less expemsive. But after struggling for years, Affresh works and I don't have the energy to experiment.

Indeed, too acidic. Unless your intent is to make it crumble.
@@doreenalexander1670 I think no matter how small of an amount you would use, or how quickly you would remove it, the acid in that product would have to penetrate the seal. My granite company will not guarantee certain things: one of them is acid in food products (citrus, etc.) & other products containing acid. There are so many excellent products to use that. I would air on the side of not using this. My credit always looks lovely. I do love Andrea and all of her suggestions. This one is just not for me.
