    😓 Fire the editor. They are obviously incompetent. Who would ever think that the sound effects add anything useful to the content of the video? Just an annoyance that distracts from information you are trying to convey.

    It is a great time to buy in Argentina if the following are true: 1) you won't need access to the funds used to buy the property for at least 5 years 2) you can access the blue rate in bulk(crypto) 3) when the currency and stock market crash you won't freak out and sell at the bottom
    As far as owning a rental I would only do it if I planned on renting on airbnb and getting paid in dollars outside of Argentina. I would also consider putting the property in a trust or a business since it is often really difficult to access lenders as a citizen/resident but much easier as a business. It is almost always a great time to borrow currency with a 110% inflation assuming you can actually buy real assets with it. Interest rates might be 90% but with 110% inflation it is profitable just borrow, buy, wait and repay. There is a common saying that is actually true and applies, or will apply, to Argentina "there were more millionaires made during the US great depression than during any other time in US history". I'm pretty sure they mean per capita but whatever.

    How do you NOT become a Tax resident of Argentina if you by a property?

      buy it under a business or a trust

      @@crypticnomad How do you do that?

    • @crypticnomad
      @crypticnomad Před 8 měsíci

      @@pinetworkminer8377 the process is different for each country and some are easier than others. On the business end of things what people from the US would call a LLC is fairly difficult and cumbersome to setup but there are other easier options that I'm not aware of their being direct US equivalents of. An example is basically a simplified company where the shares are simply whatever the initial investment was which could be cash, real estate, or even shares in some local company(I could be wrong on that last point). They also have an equivalent to most forms of trust as the US has. The two basic time tested patterns that work almost anywhere are a "holding company", which is simply a company that holds something like real estate, shares, or whatever, or some kind of trust which could be some kind of family trust, living trust or any number of different kinds, and finally the best option, imho, for both asset protection and privacy is a combination of the two where a holding company owns the property and the shares of the holding company are held by a trust. In the end it is best to always get an attorney to do these things. It is kind like any other super specific thing a person could focus on as a job. I understand how a house is built but I'm not qualified to build one. I'd pay someone who does that all the time and focus on what I'm good at.

      You can't bring dollars in to Argentina?

    • @davidbanner6104
      @davidbanner6104 Před rokem +2

      @@michaelackerman8009 Not over 10k cash, and they changed a lot of laws that have made it very difficult to bring US dollars in. I went to 3 different banks with my wife and they said they can't allow me to send US dollars to their bank.

    • @davidbanner6104
      @davidbanner6104 Před rokem +2

      My wife is Argentinian and has lived here her whole live. We went to see an Escribano and they said it's very difficult to bring in dollars, that almost all the time you have to find a business with a American bank account to act as the Escrow company. Maybe all this is much easier for someone with millions of dollars however, for the average person trying to buy a normal house they have made it very difficult.

    • @davidbanner6104
      @davidbanner6104 Před rokem +2

      I even had people trying to tell me I have to send my money to myself via western union, then take the received ARS pesos to a exchange house and buy my dollars back on the other side. That was costly and dangerous. Another realtor told me that they know of a tourist agency that would would allow me to pass my dollars through them however, after speaking with the Escribano none of this seemed safe or normal. So... we bought nothing.
