i like how the guns look now in CS2, they look like actual guns made with real metal instead of plastic airsoft toys sprayed to look like guns.
fyi, almost all modern guns use polymer not with metal since they are hard and expensive to produce

Unpopular opinion but I hope the guns doesn't have the whole "Tactical reload" EVERY single FPSs trying to mimic all thanks to CODMW popularity.
Maybe they could finally fix the ump reload animation it's only been 20 years

we probably will, cuz some of the animations on the guns in CS2 look off and unfinished, like the negev one, with the rounds no longer depleting when you run low on ammo, and the ssg08 one is a bit badly aligned.

I needed this sound update. Most of the wacky sounds is finally fixed, and the AK actually sound like an AK now.
The reload still sounds crunchy.

I wonder if they'll update the reload animations to more modern standards in a future update.
TBH I think a lot of the reloads in CSGO feel weightless. Also having empty and full reloads would be nice too.
They dont have to be crazy realistic anims like modern warfare(Although that would be interesting). I think they could keep the animations smooth and fluid, while also adding some much needed Weighty-ness to make them feel like an actual guns.
It's a cool concept but remember this is valve we're talking about. Either you get the update fast, Wait a couple years for the addition, or just never get it

@@PalakPreman08 But why tho? They changed the smoke gameplay completly. Why not also spice the game up with tactical reload? You benefit from not completly emptying your gun. Gives gunplays just alittle bit more to think about. (Its not much, mostly half a second per reload)
@@Perfektionist Yeah, maybe valve can make it so that bullet in chamber makes reloading faster. But then again CS from the beginning never have different reload animation. Still i'd like faster reload though.

I now realize that this entire time the slide never locked back after the pistols ran out of ammo and I can't unsee it anymore (aside from the Dualies and the Deagle)
Even the deagle looks like it locks back but then slides back forward mid reload

Im loving the new sounds, especially for glock and galil. I hope they change them for others too, like the M4A4 sounds so annoying to me.

i love the fact, that now the shells are ejected out of the guns and not just spitted out, also notice how FiveSeven actually ejects 5.7x28mm shells, not 9mm like it used to
Wish they had better animations and weapon scaling. Despite how polished the models look now, some of them are still too small, and there's still animation inaccuracies thanks to the outdated animations they still use, like no slide release for pistol reloads, and most pistols having their hammers forward, etc.
Least the G3 has a folding charging handle now.
Im guessing they will end up changing or at least reworking some animations considering stuff like the belt on the negev just doesnt move at all during the reload in cs2 so far

its funny how the g3sg1 in old csgo, was folded, and unfolded when racked. they changed it to be permenantly unfolded, and reciprocating ((inaccurate)) and now its folded and it recipricates.
They are never consistant with how they make their guns lol

@@freezy2755 i know, but in csgo, the handle wasnt folded, now it is, consistant with the old csgo one, they had it one way, changed it, and now its back to the way it was, with some minor differences.
The models, sounds and effects are pretty great, though I wish they didn't just port over the same animations from CSGO, a lot of those older animations have started to show their age, ESPECIALLY on the shotguns.
That could change, the game is still in development
I hope by the time it’s finished they all get new animations and sounds. A few of the weapons have new sounds but it appears to me that most are the same.

I love how this game is looking now... Although the first few streamers that got access to it had some cracked up stream settings which made the game look oversaturated
CT and T specific reload animations, (that only have cosmetic differences), would be awesome.
Nobody gonna talk about the fact that in S2 you can actually see the bullet's trajectory/smoke after firing from Sniper Rifles (8:04 for Scout aka SSG-08, 8:31 for AWP, 8:57 for SCAR-20, 9:21 for G3SG1).
Also the little sparking after Shotgun Shots that hit the metal, really cool.
And the fact Smoke from Smoke Grenade is interractable physically is cool ( 13:36 )

The new models look and sound fantastic only thing that's missing a bit is new reloads but I think they kinda nailed everything else.

Would be cool to get new reload animations. Don't mess with the speed or timing but jsut iron them out and make them look a little sharper.

The new sound propagation really makes the gunfire feel way more impactful
should keep it mind that some sound might be different in the final version of cs2, because what is shown right now are basically some same sound and some modified, still waiting for the CS2 hype.

if you slow the video down abit when they reload, now you noticed that they actually use bullets instead of Air as ammo back in csgo, but they still haven't make those Bullets invisible after fired the whole mag, they'll probably fix it in the later

11:21 It seems that all Belt Fed LMGs in the CS-2 have animation issues. The ammo belt seemed stiff and didn't move at all. Even if you run out of ammunition, the Belt will still have ammo, unlike in CSGO where the ammo gradually runs out depending on the amount of ammunition in the actual magazine.

both negev and m249 have a model error with the bullets at the time of shoting and reloading, it doesnt consume the bullet charger

For now the glock 18, famas, galil, m4, ak are the only guns with a sound change and it is absolutely amazing, surely they will do the same for the rest
It took me awhile to notice, but all weapon models are slightly changed.
I like the new glock sound but wish we got it on the USP too I want my .45 USP to sound beefy

The animations really need an update too. Some of them look like they were first pass unfinished temporary animations even back when CSGO came out, like the fingers slapping the triggers when you fire in full auto, the weird timing and easing issues when doing things like flipping the Deagle, or even just the general scaling of some weapons in the hands. They don't have to be the same style of overly hefty, reshoulder the weapon like you're trying to break your clavicle like MW but a fresh set of clean, get the job done animations would go a long way. Animations like Day of Defeat Source, or Halo 1 through Reach, or Destiny 1 that look clean and convincing but aren't in the way or overly unique they just get the job done. DoDS animations still hold up to this day 18 years later.

CS2 should be the next version of CS1.6
So, there should be mirrored gun models and classic animations
if we consider CS CZ as 1.7 and CSS considered 1.8, CSGO would be 1.9 and CS 2 would be in the proper spot for the next version.
There should add new weapon like dual-deagle and dual-mac-10 with good animation for them
Finally, guns don't look like they were modeled from memory

The new models look spectacular but I must say I don't appreciate the desaturation pattern. Some have much better colours, like deeper blacks, or the SCAR's new tan colouration. But the pattern seems to be just make every gun dark grey, and remove any interesting metallic weathering. The models themselves are an upgrade, though.

Weird how they fixed the M4A1-S’ selector switch but made the M4A4’s selector switch incorrect in the process (it’s on safe)
Here's an idea: what if CT/T weapons had faster reloads depending on what side uses them? CS:GO's reload animations are just fine the way that they are, but newer games like some of the modern CODs have given their guns such detailed animations that I hope Valve tries to also step their game up and try something fresh. Imagine if the AK-47 had a fast, experienced reload when used by the terrorists, but had a slightly slower reload when used by a CT. Not enough to make the AK-47 entirely unviable when used by a CT, but enough to make a player think twice before dropping their perfectly fine M4. This is probably an awful idea, as I'm not a super competitive CS player, but I think it would add to the immersion of being a CT or a T. Back in 1.6 and Source, each side used the same hand models and to where your POV is practically indistinguishable from each side. GO added so much more to make it more clear which side you were on, and I think it would be neat if there were more specific quirks between CT and T. Like maybe each side reloads an AWP differently? Maybe CTs use only one Beretta with an extended magazine, while Terrorists are the one to dual-wield.

rather than making the animations faster. Why not making them more "tactical" when done by the CTs? after all they are trained to use firearms. Keeps balance between teams.

they already do this with the autosnipers, the autosnipers have the same exact stats across both teams except the reload speed, with the scar 20 (CT) getting a fast reload speed and the g3sg1 having a slower reload speed. Funnily enough, this balancing seems like it's made for hostage instead of defuse.

@@deadlocked9399 Source 2 uses the latest APIs (Vulkan, DX12+, can use FSR and *DLSS, all that stuff), so it can make use of the most modern instructions on GPUs/CPUs.
