Can one truly love people one has never met? It would seem so. Julia and Jacques are people I love very much. I suspect I am not alone.

They are both parts of my family. I have taught my grandchildren to cook and love food by duplicating their shows.

What a classy, touching, even poignant memorial; well done. If you are old enough to remember Julia Child's show back in the day, you will find it all the more so if you first watch her biography which I believe is available right here on CZcams. I vividly remember being a kid and watching the infamous SNL skit as it aired, live, and my mother and her sister were literally falling out of their chairs laughing uncontrollably. Here's to you, Julia.

When I was a child of 4 I remember sitting in front of the television and watch her cook.
She is one of the reasons I wanted to become a Chef and now I'm going on 36 years of cooking. Thank you so much Julia💋❣️

Indeed we could talk about Julia for hours. Jacques stirs some wonderful memories in this short clip. Julia taught me so much about cooking in the 60s and 70s, while at the same time teaching me how to have fun with it. She was a treasured part of my life, and this is a fine tribute.

That was a awesome tribute master chef Jacques for master chef Julia I agree whole heartedly The funniest thing I laughed along with her I don't remember what she was making but she went to say egg yolks and she ended up saying yeg olks
I laughed 🤣 so hard for hours and she even trying to hold back her little chuckle in between but I think they went to a commercial so she can get the laugh out of it rest in peace Julia,🙏✝️

Someone asked earlier if Jacques Pepin was from Quebec. Some answered that he was from eastern France, near Lyon. That contains truth, but I chuckled, thinking of all the times he resolutely corrected Julia on the subject. Jacques, in his own words, is from Connecticut.

I loved this video. Thank you for sharing. I would have liked to know her in person. Today, I follow your channel cooking with Julia and it was the perfect cooking couple. You learn so much. Its nice to practice what one likes best because one does it with gusto. I have always liked cooking. I I wouldn’t have worked at the hospital for thirty-eight years now in the pharmacy department, I would have loved being a professional chef. Thank you again, we love you and admire you like you can’t imagine.👨‍🍳👍🏼❤️

Chef Pépin never struck me as particularly religious. I assume he was raised Catholic in France. But I like how he acknowledges Julia in spirit. It's sincere, and conveys a nice message.
