The remix is old enough that it's nostalgic by itself now...
Time passes too quickly 😭
... No! Why did you have to make me notice that this remix was 10 years old?! That last decade passed by like a speeding train!
I know!!
Facts bro 💯
and I'm still singing it! Coolest remix ever jmho
@@kempedkempfirst time I listened to this I was in 2nd grade
When she says, "I like to smell something cooking, makes me feel at home." the tears are immediate.
That's where the tears come for me too, every time. :)
@@shannonreilly1340 shush.
Amen❤
I love you for saying that.
I get goosebumps myself, the tears kick in later, even after all these years hearing it.
Julia Child: "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes it even goes into the food."
My fav quote of hers
She would've been delighted to find out there is a channel on a popular 'gaming' streaming service that's dedicated to her. Her knowing the youth of today would've touched her heart. May she R.I.P forever Julia
biblethump biblethump biblethump
I miss those days. So sad that they don't have them on there anymore.
@@mi-da2920 agreed
Julia was the first person in the world to get a lvl 99 cooking skill cape.
Ayeeeeeeeee
Lmao
what about me?
***** Doesn't count if the animals cook themselves for you. Sorry Chuck. :(
But not the last!!
I love how she's kind of smiling when she says "you need some fat in your diet, or your body can't process your vitamins." :D
Did this make anyone else shed a little tear?
Yep 😭
Nope.
It did make me really hungry, though.
Tim G Only every time i watch it. And i can't stop watching
Tim G I shed a tear on Bob Ross's video, but this one makes me feel the same way. The person or team behind all these videos captures that element and makes it very prevalent.
Scott E. Stinson Watch the Mr. Roger's remix video. You'll cry there too. The creator is Melody Sheep. He's did Car; Sagan first which was just beautiful I cried during that one too. I think it's that he chooses such passionate, intelligent,e and eloquent people.
I don't know if anyone else felt safe and secure when she was on but that's all i remember from her not the desserts or meals just a sense of security and peacefulness
yeah I remember kind of seeing her as a mother figure on the TV since my own mom was insane and beat me and molested me :) thank you Julia for providing abused kids with a comforting safe mother figure :)
also helped me survive starvation during my childhood better because I was able to imagine eating her foods instead of wormy apples and dog food. when I wanted to imagine I had something else to eat I just pictured these TV shows while I was eating the dog food or the wormy apples or whatever I had dug out of the dumpster. Julia made my make believe more real :) I'm glad I get to eat real food now :) I'm a vegan and there are lots of delicious things.
@@lemurlover7975 "real food" "i'm a vegan" didn't know grass was real-food
Same with bob ross. I wasn’t alive when they were on tv, but I’ve watched a lot of both of them on CZcams. It seems like PBS has the best people.
That's because she spent some time being a spy 😁 look it up
Julia was lucky. She got to see through almost the entire 20th century, blessed with long life of almost 92 years.
+DisasterOnline not really considering, that her century has been one of the most war torn, you know two world wars, a cold war, Vietnam, Korea, the wars in the middle east, some of the worst terrorist attacks in history, and then we think of how many of the people she knew perished in the wars
+DisasterOnline oh and the biggest loss of humans in a moment in history (hirosima and nagasaki), and a great depression, the rise of the most evil men in history,
+Arthas Menethil I can guarantee you that the 21st century has far worse than any of that in store, just wait and see, I for one hope I'm not here to see it.
+skeochJ1 21st century has great moments too
skeochJ1 so far the 21st century is the most peaceful one so far, or at least this era
"The secret is knowing how the food should taste" is the best cooking advice I have heard. I keep it with me to this day. "Freshness is essential - that makes all the difference" is the 2nd best.
Whoever was responsible for these remixes deserve sooooooo much more exposure and appreciation.
🎶This is what good music is all about 🎶
The channel name is melodysheep, they have a lot of other great remixes to check out after this one. :)
I'm a chef beause of her...my grandmother and I would watch her every time she was on. When my grandmother passed away I watched Julia Childs and cried...without them I wouldn't be where I am today.
yay woohoo
This makes me so happy for some reason.
+Vagrant
It's because it shows easier, simple times, where there was cooking, loose colourfull clothing, less judgement and less hurry-hurry-hurry. And more calm-calm-enjoy.
I love this woman she's like a grandmother to use all
What a sweet and wonderful lady, her passion is just pure.
I was too young to enjoy these shows. But the remixes bring tears to my eyes.
+Mitchell Mahurin I cry so hard, I just can't stop :c
+Mitchell Mahurin Same here
+Mitchell Mahurin Well if you think you're old enough now, Twitch has a constant stream of her cooking show going right now, for free, just google "Twitch Julia Child". Bon appetit!
Mitchell Mahurin
Me too Julia child forever.
She is my mentor.
From Colombia.
Long live the queen.
The best ever
1:03 knife solo!
This woman has been a big part of my life since the mid 1960s. There'll never be another one like her!
This one, is the most gangsta of all the PBS remixes. I mean, for shizzle. Who the hell else you see layin down fresh beats with a bigass kitchen knife?
why cant i stop watching these
+C McCann Me too man ...
+C McCann because melodysheep is amazing
I know me too. I watch this about 10 times a day for inspiration. The song is very catchy as well. I loooove it , Yo!
"You need some fat in your diet so your body can process your vitamins". It's true! She's a genius!
Jessica Shaw I like your hair.
This is one of the most pleasant videos I've seen on CZcams in a LONG time.
They have one for Bob Ross too. Also very pleasant
@@BaldingClamydia and Mr Rogers :)
You care about cooking when:
You cherish every little ingredient
Your favorite recipe is the one that make you want to pull your hair out
You taste everything, even when you know it's awful.
You sweat when you cook even before the kitchen gets hot
You think about that one time that one thing tasted a little different and to this day you remember it perfectly
This song makes you very happy
You simply cant compare Julia Child to anyone, any entity, any show, any series. A woman with self-empowerment, the gusto to challenge those who doubted her, the 'backbone' she held with grace and such patience... She is the very essence of what a truly GOOD person is who gave us so much pleasure to enjoy watching, and to have the most influential show to have ever aired on television. She gave me the sincere interest in cooking. Growing up watching her shows and sharing that with my grandparents (who were my guardians), and then seeing her classic cooking shows in the original black-and-white format, was and is still, QUALITY television. I couldnt wait to cook in the kitchen with my grandparents and then even more so, to watch the next Julia Child show. What we have today is garbage on the air-waves. PBS - thank you for this video.... it brings a smile on my face and tears from my eyes.. this was so very eloquently done and captures the very core of Julia Child. You pay great homage to this legend!
I'd like to disagree with you on one very important front; while Julia Child was a wonderful and influential woman with the attitude to do what she loved, she isn't the only influential good person. There's also bob Ross and Mister Rogers;, I miss them all fairly equally...
Im speaking from a culinary point of view. Not painting or children's programming
Skumm93 Unfortunately out of those 3 influential characters the only one that has a show which is still on air is Bob Ross.
i can compare her to a show: her show
thequeenundisputed Actually, there's a PBS station called Create TV that still airs Julia Child programs nearly everyday, as well as Joy of Painting :)
If we named people DAME in the U S A. Julia would be one for sure! Dame Julia....she was a Grande Dame in my book. Replay this video often...makes me feel at home.

Love it.
Amazing.
Cant forget the rolling pin drum solo
Greater than More Cowbell.
I was just on it when I read the comment. It made me laugh. XD
Such a marvelous woman. A beautiful trumpet of a teacher. She knew how to cook, she knew how to train US to cook. She knew how it was the pleasure of a happy life. I owe her a GREAT debt for my own ability to follow a recipe. I am NO COOK. I can follow a recipe and taste the result. She taught me that.
Love the knife solo
Bring on the roasted Potatoes!
Bring on the Montrachet!
This is what good cooking is all about!
Cook and cook and keep on cooking.
This is the way to live.
This is the way to eat!
Had to watch this for the millionth time after reading the comments on the epic rap battles of history between her and Gordon Ramsay... Too many people didn't even know who this legendary woman was.... T_T
I know! It made me sad
I'm glad that video happened, because it got me super interested in her work. I've only known about her for a few days and already what I've seen and read has touched me in ways I didn't think possible. Truly legendary.
+Don Gatito I'm glad that it got at least one person interested in learning more about her. That makes it worthwhile. Check out The French Chief. As of yet there are episodes available on CZcams.
Im glad Twitch broadcasts her shows with Jacques Pepin
And her show also highlighted other chefs. For instance, in this video you see her with a VERY young Emeril at the start of his career doing a crawfish boil.
Who else is from the Julia Child's 24/7 stream on twitch?
+Bobby Hill its back guys, its on twitch food again
She seems so inspirational, and you can tell she loved every second cooking...
read my life in france way better than the movie

+Survivalist same was such a good stream
same!
I watch this once a day at least. Its too good.
Me too!
LOVE you Julia! I would do anything to be able to go back in time and have a dinner at your place. God bless you. I wish there were a LOT more people like you still around. This video brings a smile to my face and reminds me about the importance of fresh foods and that natural fats are actually very good for you and needed by our bodies.
Julia lived to 91, two days short of her 92nd birthday. I'd say that alone is a living testament to the importance of eating a diet rich in fresh ingredients from all food groups. Skip all the processed food everyone.
You will NEVER be forgotten Julia. Sending you a GREAT BIG HUG!!!!!.
Bring out the roasted potatoes!!! 😍 I love this, it makes me want to cry hahha *feels*
Exactly bro 😢
I love ALL these remixes -- the Bob Ross and Mister Rogers ones are just as lovely. These people were literally magic and this brings back just how amazing they were.
Oh dear.. Why did this make me cry?
Thank you so much. :) I just absolutely lost it. I mean this woman had so much passion for what she loved to do most, cooking, and it really showed in everything she did.. An inspiration, truly..
First time I watched this I teared up a bit. I thought she was terrific. Wish my mother had put more effort into cooking. My dad didn't ask for much, but a handmade crust in the late 60s and 70s beat any store bought, and that was one of his few asks.
I'm not a foodie, but at least my wife and I put a little thought and effort into what we eat.
I only cried laughing
“You can’t define these in a recipe, you can only know them by knowing how the food should taste.” -Julia Child ♥️
Went thru an awful time in life a few years ago this video helped thanks!
I'm sitting here trying to figure out why this single hasn't went platinum yet LBVS
Right 😊
I'm literally waitin for the migos to eat this tracx up
This is the only video for which it's appropriate to say: "it makes me feel like I'm cutting onions"!
galloping gourmet eat your heart out. in passing, she still is the divine chef we all love to keep in our hearts. her prime ingredient was love in her cooking . something we all must remember to do on a daily bases as our prime ingredient.
This is brilliantly done! I'm generally not a fan of digital music, but I absolutely love this! So tastefully done (no pun intended)! Superb job, PBS!
Ahhhhhh I see what you did there
is it okay to admit I bawled my eyes out. I miss Julia, I loved watching her show especially my mum Lol
YEAH THAT KNIFE BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN!!!!!
Julia Child is awesome. Anyone who thinks otherwise obviously doesn't have the same level of love for cooking that she did.
This was great. She was a legend. Chef Sandra Lee is entertaining because, she can’t cook but, always is drinking it seems. “Aunt Sandy” NO ONE compares to Julia! RIP!
the roasted potatoes parts make me laugh. Like, loud. Why do I find that so hilarious?
michelrpg Julia wanted her audience to laugh!
It's the semi-fisted hoorah sweep of the arm along with the phrase.
PBS studios have done many of these great TV role models great tribute with these remixes, Julia, Mr. Rogers etc..
This is absolutely the best remix, and use of a synthesizer I have ever heard. Who ever created this has skills a cut above industry standard!
Bring on the roasted potatoes!!!
what does she say after that ? bring on the .....
Will Leah
Bring on the Montrachet (White Wine)
casey Moore I thought it was Pol Roger, thought it's so hard to figure out what she's saying.
Daniel Powers My favorite verse/line, whatever have you haha.
casey Moore I thought "Bring on the bowl of Zurich"
I grew up watching Julia & The Frugal Gourmet on PBS. Decades before the Food Network was even an idea, this woman was gracing our screens with her delicious cooking.
She had a quality to her that made you feel like you were listening to a kindly aunt.
Julia Child and Graham Kerr (AKA The Galloping Gourmet) really ignited my interest in cooking -- and in the cooking shows that followed. Without those two, we might not have had a Food Network to this day.
Same for me. I watched her with my mom and because of her, I became an aspiring chef.
The fact she could make a mistake....and it was ok....to be human and know everything wasn't always going to be perfect. Such a good life lesson as well.
***** yes! The Galloping Gourmet would always get buzzed on wine at the end of his show with a random hot chick from the audience. I loved watching him as a kid.
Lil Mystikal I got turned on to The Galloping Gourmet during the summer before 8th grade, thanks to my 7th grade English teacher suggesting we watch the show for the almost poetic way he described food. I had the good fortune to meet him many years later; he left Australia (or was it New Zealand?) and moved to the state of Washington, and lives just a couple of dozen miles from me, and he had a catering / home chef shop for a while near my place of work.
A nice tribute to one of the most fabulous TV personalities of our time :')
If this song doesn't warm your heart, you might be dead
I'm a long time fan of Bob Ross an Julia child's . I've seen Bob roses music video, assn seen Julia child's video. Is it new? I've been a all day PBS fan. WE GET 3 PBS CHANNELS . I love especially CREATE. I SAW Julia's video an cried. Miss them both. But thankfully their memory is kept alive thru our PBS STATION. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THEM WITH THE WORLD
I hope you saw the Fred Rogers song too. And the reading rainbow one as well. All are amazing, and CREATE is badass.
this song is so sad brought a tear to my eye I watched the movie of her and loved it and she was really a inspiration to all out their saying that no matter how many mistakes you make you keep trying practice makes perfect
RIP Julia always be an amazing cook 😇🙏🏼🍴
Brilliant! John D Boswell what a fitting tribute to the First Lady of Cooking ! I love the remix and Julia Child!
I used to watch this when I was a younger teenager and it inspired me to never give up cooking, years later I’m in my 20s and working in many kitchens and feeding myself everynight. Thankyou ♥️
I love seeing anything about her. Someone who cared to help people bring something exquisite into their lives, something simple and happy. The beauty of good food, made with joy. Absolutely heart warming.

@CZcams should make a super thumbs up icon for videos like this one.
The beats in these videos are hard af
We visited her kitchen at the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC last weekend. It was wonderful- an artist's studio for cooking. We sang the refrain to this song there. I had to come back here and hear the whole thing again.
Julia Childs, one of the worlds most intriguing women. Classy, intelligent and, the worlds greatest cook. Love u Julia . The world misses u soooo much. She is my favorite
This one is still my favorite out of all of the PBS remixes. I could listen to this one on repeat for hours. Makes me hungry, but it's totally worth it.
Everyone here saying their memes, but honestly I love watching her shows. Such a personality. Bet you're making some delicious chocolate truffles now Julia, god bless.
Anyone PBS has given us all the most genuine wholesome people? Steve Irwin, Bob Ross, Mr. Rodgers, Julia Child. All people who cared and loved sharing there craft, wether it was animals, art, cooking, or just being a good person, they wanted you to teach you and for you to believe in yourself. I think most people forget about Julia Child because we know Steve Bob and Fred from our childhoods, and cooking tutorials don't hold kids short attention spands.
Mouth watering music!!
Something only Julia Child could accomplish.
tv was like a prehistoric youtube
Watching Julia reminds me of my mother. Loved those days
Watching Julia Child replays on Twitch back in 2015. Those were the days..
Watching this in 2021 and thinking how amazing the world would be right now if she were here. Would make covid era much easier... 🥲🥲🥲🥲
I love the knife solo
Second time now you filled my eyes. Mr. Rogers, now this compilation. 44 years young and grew up on the south side. Never realized how much I watched channel 11. Very vulnerable and innocent time of my life and these great songs remind me of better times. Thank you for reminding me that people were once genuine and interested in us bettering ourselves.
this is my favorite! I love her! this made me wanna cry. thinking of how amazing she is. she taught cordon bleu what they know today! without her they wouldnt be what they are today! she is the best chef alive!!
All the PBS remix videos are just the shit. I love em. I've cried on almost all of them. Happy tears of course... These were just good people.
A world icon thanks Julia for the good recipes and most importantly the memories.❤️
I'd watch reruns of Julia Child's kitchen every Saturday morning when I was a kid. She and Rick Steves were my childhood. ❤
These beats are fresh, and I've been told that freshness is essential, it makes ALL the difference. Words of truth.
Not only this is a creative, technical and cultural masterpiece, but this song is really excellent!! ♡ ♡ ♡
I love this as a tribute to her
I miss Julia Child. I was young as heck when she was still on. But I felt like I was watching my great great grandma cooking.
You felt at peace.
I hate to cook, but Julia was a treasure. This video is a true labor of love. Well done.
I never saw anything disrespectful about it. I think it shows her in a great light and also allows younger people who would have never given a thought to watching her a chance to see her in an updated way. I think it was well done.
Just saw this on TV a few seconds ago. I didn’t expect it to be this old.
Time flies, but every generation will remember those who gave us good memories, like Julia Childs.

LOL, good point.
+vivamangiare Actually, obesity is often caused more by restaurant meals where you sit down due to the larger portion sizes.
I would really like to see statistics about that. Personally, I'm way more convinced that you get fat because you eat junk food and you eat in the wrong times, and I think datas can back me up on this. But hey, it'a youtube video, not a TED talk ;)
Julia Child: "I'm not a Chef; I'm a Teacher and a Cook.'
Whatching the TV show "Julia" right now, and the way she said bon appetit made me make mad dash to this video. Memories flooded back in and tears began to stream. ❤
This is so rad!
Beautiful.
