Warren is right that a lot of people are addicted to Apple products, not necessarily because it does stuff that other phones don't, but due to brand loyalty and user experience.

I really really doubt he will dump it. One of the best value stock he owns, and he is a value investor.
The iPhone is enormously underpriced? If the iPhone is underpriced, what does that make every other smartphone on the market? Smartphones are priced relative to their competitors, not its intrinsic practical value. Of course, Apple does a fantastic job at setting the perfect price point for their phones-the most expensive on the market, yet amazingly the best selling.
It isn't the best selling or the best phone and how long will it last

J Nigel well that’s why Apple is actually downgrading the prices this year, not keep them on the rise. It’s almost an ‘about face’. They’re introducing a budget model in the line up in September. It will be a 6.1 inch screen with Face ID and a starting price of 600-700$. The iPhone X’s successor this year, the 5.8 inch model, will have a starting price point of 899 instead of 999. And finally the iPhone X ‘plus’ 6.5 inch OLED panel will be their grand daddy that will start at 999$

But what happens in 10 years? Chinese smartphones are getting better so fast. Android is getting better so fast with AI boost. I doubt if Apple will be able to hold on the edge it has now over Android phones in the next 5 to 10 years.
uhmm Apple has no edge whatsoever over Android phones....the 'edge' that apple had was 3-4 years ago.
Android has always been better, for at least about 5 years now. Apple isn't on the top because they have a better product, they have a more organic, stylish product. They use simplicity to their advantage (making the average customer a slave to their simple devices), they have Supreme-level brand recognition (even higher than Supreme), and THEY KNOW HOW TO MARKET AND ADVERTISE. That last part, they are lightyears ahead of any other tech company. They have captured the youth, something no other tech corporation has done yet.
And I'm not trying to paint Apple as evil at all, in fact they're my favorite corporation, and I believe they deserve their top spot. Product utility is not the only thing that should be taken in consideration when making technology, the aesthetic, design, and overall feel/vibe of the product matters just as much, if not more. Apple realizes this and that's why they have such an edge.
Do you realize that nothing you said matters? Apple has been copying and pasting ever since it was first created. The very first GUI was stolen by Steve Jobs and Bill Gates from Xerox, and they went on to make both the Mac OS and Windows with it. All of the big tech giants copy and paste, that's how the field of business works, no one cares if you get there first. As I said, it doesn't matter if a product is "better" than what Apple has, nor does it matter if the product came before what Apple has. The important thing is that when Apple DOES release what they have, they do so with superior marketing, design and aesthetic appreciation for their product, and this results in them winning. They have literally just copy and pasted this method ever since they first started and they continue to rake in profits.
So, for your question "How long do you think can this copy-and-refine method last?" for however long Apple wants it to last. At the very least it's going to last much much longer, Apple is in it's prime and it just broke $1 Trillion market cap, it's showing no signs of slowing down.

I just realized if Buffett wanted to he could take over Apple but chooses not that is true power right there Apple maybe bigger but if Apple tried to buy Berkshire it will be a disaster but Buffett could if he wanted to take over any of the fang stocks because he has the cash the name and the ability to do so let that sink in for a second

i know that but you dont need to buy the whole thing to take control of a company and with the size of apple you prob only need like 15 to 20% prob even less. buffet also has access to huge amount of capital with just a phone call because he is regarded as the worlds greatest investor everyone will try to hop on something if he asked them to and no one will question him because thats what he is known for and none of the other 10 largest companies can do what he does because if they invested in something outside their field they would be voted out of a job super fast. also smaller companies buy big ones all the time its not that difficult if you have the capital.

Apple every end of the year like every other company returns money to the shareholders depending how much they make but instead of giving the money back they buy back their own stocks so eventually they will have full control of the company so the lower the price is the more stocks they buy

Probably not, but they will definitely become one very soon. There are many people in Wall Street who’d literally pay ridiculous prices just to have the bragging rights of being the ones that put the final nudge on the trillion dollar market cap. APPL was a clear example.

Android phone do a whole whole lot more in a whole whole lot lesser price. iPhone are overpriced in the smartphone market. Sooner or later no one will buy iphone that much anymore unless they do something innovative.... business and tech wise.

The thing about apple vs android isn’t that one is better than the other its that apple already has us kids won over.
