- Myself and an awesome crew of anglers head 80 miles into the Gulf of Mexico to target some giant fish! On this trip we learned some techniques that can prevent the wasteful dying of released fish. Panama City Beach has this incredible bottom fishing with tons of delicious species, and we want this fishery to stay healthy for as long as possible. Actually turned out better than most other I have seen on CZcams. I think sanding with orbital sander is the reason. I would then bake at high temp then season several times. Think it would really work good.

They do! And the dolphins get them too…
Although it's possible, it's quite rare. We were moving around all day fighting off sharks but didn't have any touched on the way down. The struggling, fighting fish is what attracts predators and fish aren't typically struggling upon descent. We put a gopro down with most of our drops and have never lost one.

So yeah, I did serve! 4 years as an officer in the USMC. Got out in July 2021 which is when I started CZcams full time. Those coins in the background were actually my roommates, they’re all firefighter challenge coins.

would you step up to a two speed lever drag reel? i found that keeping it in low gear helps get big gags off the bottom quicker vs pure tug o war but after that putting it back in hi gear and real as fast as possible to get away from sharks, however, if that shark is motivated enough nothing you can really do.
Maybe a two speed could help, but honestly I agree with your last statement. Going against a Motivated shark you’ll lose 100% of the time

We don't skin triggers we gut them season and grill or bake the skin Peels off once they are cooked great for kids due to their bone structure.

olive oil becomes toxic when heated up much. better is to add the olive oil _after_ heating. there is usually parasites in fish, always heat the fish and the cooking untensil needs to be washed at highest temperature for a longer time in the dishwasher. is there any tuna in that sea ? i wonder

If a shark bit my fish in half like that whether it's season or not I'd take the rest home instead of throwing it back it's dead anyway n you can clearly see the shark bite
That’s not how it works unfortunatly. You’d be looking at a lot of fines and lose your fishing license. I get checked about 50% of the time in florida by FWC. Even if the fish is in season and would have been over the size minimum. If the fish is sharked and the remaining length is less than the minimum you still get fined. And it’s good that they do! People would be faking shark bitten fish all the time
