  • The federal government has appealed to citizens planning a nationwide protest to be calm, saying both President Bola Tinubu and his ministers are working to change the situation.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made the appeal after an emergency meeting of members of the Federal Executive Council, called on Wednesday by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, at his office in Abuja.
He assured that President Tinubu is working tirelessly, and all hands are on deck to ensure that the government’s efforts benefit all Nigerians.

25 years of democracy in Nigeria has brought suffering and starvation. These politicians are responsible for the situation we find ourselves in Nigeria today. They have consistently suffocated every bit of breath out of Nigerians.

The ministry for information must be reshuffled and Kashim Afegbua to be the information minister. The current isvtoo slow and not able to make much impact.

Is it not irreconcilable that Tinubu removed subsidy on petroleum products and again started issuing import licenses and refused to support Dangote to ease our problems. If he is truly for us, he has to fully support all local producers. He should cut down drastically the cost of governance. Assess the economic relevance and contributions of some Ministries.
What is the contribution of Blue economy Ministry? What is Agric Ministry doing? All bucks top on his table. He should reign in NNPC officials frustrating Dangote and other local producers. I voted for him and I am yet to see a very strong will on his part in this regard. NNPC should be properly investigated and the management fired to reposition the agency. Why leaving that management that worked with the cabal, it's like when GMB kept Emefiele? This is very sickening.
Tinubu must work and be bold to be with the masses. He hasn't displayed a total difference from our usual ways of running the government. I am yet to see any. So the protest is necessary and must be peaceful and made economic.

Let's tell ourselves the truth, the northerners always mobilize for protest when ever the person in power as president of Nigeria is from the south. The north never call for protest against any of the president from the north. Yar Adua was almost incapacitated due to I'll health but he continued to rule from sick bed till he died BUT immediately Jonathan succeeded him as a president from the south the north mobilized and protested against him until he was removed. You can never see northerners organizing protests against their own in power. Buhari came to power as a civilian president and ruled badly and took Nigeria backward. He ruled for 8 years using his Fulani tribesmen against Nigerians but north never contemplate protest against him. Immediately Tinubu from the south came into power, the north teamed up to organize protest against him even though Tinubu is just one year in office as president. Northerners are always not comfortable when a southerner is in power as president. They always want power to be in hands of northerners. Throughout the many years of military regimes ruled by military of northern extraction, north never mobilize protest against them. Even late sani abacha who milked Nigeria dry during military regimes is still getting protection from the northerners because he is from the north. As governments return Abacha loots stashed in foreign banks, many northerners still argue that abacha didn't steal our money. Southerners should shine their eyes against the north monopoly of protests in Nigeria especially against the president of southern extraction. I pity the Yorubas of south west who are trying to align with the north against the Igbos of the south east. All southerners must unit to break the jinx of north' s always organizing protests against the president of southern extraction in Nigeria. Onanuga ' s accusation of Peter Obi and the Igbos for being behind this planned protest against tinubu is just to buy favor from the northerners whom the Yorubas fear most. Long live federal republic of Nigeria. May God protect all of us Amen

The government agencies, need to meet the people of the country, people need to enjoy the finest quality of life. People pay thier taxes to theses government offices and are not treated fairly. As it been said the "rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer,". What does this male means to make the country great again, thier was and great in the country. When a country is great it cannot drop of the greatness. The monies are been put in the criminal government agencies and thier accomplices banks account. The people are fed up of the terrible treatment, the people are frustrated and no one is listening. As it has been said too much of one thing good for nothing. Policies is not solutions. They are criminals, crooks, and needs to stop embrace thieves in the government offices. They are spending too much monies on fine lining, give the people a what they needs to enjoy and decent living. Too much talk a bag a mouth and no action.

Reforms doesn't mean everything will be put on hold, since you don't have details of why the purchase is being carried out it's better to seek for information.
Even in our various homes and communities where people complained of hunger many still organize party. Not justifying reckless spend but you should know and understand that presidential Jets does not belong to the president but a national assets and its symbolism is much appreciated when the president travels abroad on international engagement.
