Our racial/genetic features' only %1 reftlects to our physical apperance so... It's quite normal.Also we should remember that black eyes,blackish hair,brown skin and curly hair etc are dominant genes so they have more possibility to be reflected on the body.

Turkish people have a LOT of Italian. I know a Turkish friend of mine could not figure out. Its largely because a lot of Italians settled in the Anatolian province over 100's of years during the Roman Empire. In fact Latin was the language of the Byzantine Empire until after Justinian. Much of the Roman political class moved to Istanbul (Constantinople) at that time. Great video...Loved it.
@Armenian Kurdi is Arab Greek ' I'm talking about the Turkish people who live in Turkey. The absolutely have Greek, Italian, Jewish, Hittite, Arab, Armenian mixtures depending on region. I know many Turks who were surprised at the diversity in their genetic background after a DNA test. I was certainly with my own, but after tracing I found the phylogenetic information to be more accurate than family stories.
My family from Trabzon. My results was west-asia, central asia and Italia (14%) . its probably until 15th century Trabizond was East Roman Empires last castle.I think that's why

I have always wanted to do this, but watched a post on this topic of the so-called "DNA Tests" where they were brought to DNA specialists at a few Universities here i.e. Harvard, etc, which were along the top caliber of such places. The overall consensus was the same, maybe just stated in a different way. What these tests do is on a high level, potentially show migrations of people. It makes sense. So for example, the strong concentration of what is (was) the UK and Jay knowing that he has Irish on both sides, is credible as shown. The fact that Rengin's side is from Turkey and the strong concentration of other countries that showed up on the test, had plowed through what is now Turkey, in the distant past. It is mostly about migrations, which we all have. I'll convolute Italy. My mother's side is from Italy, in fact, a very remote place. She got her DNA test back and it was a clusterfuck of places. My father is completely of German extract from the south and it rather came back that way, but the results also showed migrations of people(s) from much further east, which is no shock from a historical standpoint. Italy as country, let alone regionally and geographically, is one of the most diverse people from a DNA standpoint in Europe. Tons of people get these tests back and tons of people show "Italy" when it was never expected. Reason being is that during the migration periods, the people(s) of Italy were either being bombarded by waves of different peoples(s) or they were the ones doing the bombarding. In summation: if you have minimal percentage of "Italian" on your test, like less than say 25% and you never knew you had, had origins there, just ignore it as it is either a blip or simply a migration from one place to another. I hope this helps and there were no bad intentions on my side for writing this. Just helping people close a book when it needs to and I'll probably have to do the same should I take the test.....unless it comes back showing 65% of my lineage originates from Central America. Then I have some questioning to do with my folks. "Am I the kid of a UPS delivery person or an HVAC repair dude, cuz something def is not right🙃😉. ?

well, i feel kind of disappointed with Rengin's result. 82 % West Asian so what nationalities are they? while they sort out the each country in Europe, They put 4-5 nationalities together in the same pot and call West Asian? I think she knew that already. The purpose of this test is to know more and deep results
She is probably Kurdish she does mention she has her roots from Tunceli and Erzincan which is both Kurdish cities in turkey the majority are Kurdish people who live in those two cities
She also comes from an alevi family so that might explain what her roots are

It is not that shocking to get Italian as Turkish, Italians were all over Anatolia during the Middle Ages, from Crusader Castles (Petronium - Bodrum) all the way to Trading Posts. Ottomans had a big neighborhood in Galata of Italians.
I am Turkish and my DNA results came back as 17% Italian too, but I am from Bodrum and I have a great grandmother who is Italian.
Ask around for your family story Rengin, you might find an odd Italian family member or two down the line.
OR It might be a Sephardic Jewish influence, as they escaped from Spain to Turkey (Ottoman Empire) during the Inquisition

Savaş ganimeti olarak da 1den fazla kızı olan ailelerdende köle olarak alınıp, köle tüccarlarına satılırdı. Osmanlı Devleti'nde köle pazarı çok yaygındır. Hatta Hürrem Sultan olarak bilinen Aleksandra lisowska aynı şekilde köle olarak alınmış ve payitahta köle olarak gelmiştir. Güzelliği yüzünden Harem ağaları tarafından farkedilmiş ve saraya alınmıştır. Hürrem Sultanla beraber, Nurbanu Sultan, safiye Sultan, Hatice Turhan sultan ve Osmanlı Devletinin gelmiş geçmiş en güçlü valide sultanı olarak bilinen Mahpeyker Kösem sultanda aynı kaderi paylaşmaktadır. Bunlar doğrudan saray için köle olarak getirlmeyip Payitahta köle kadınlar getirildiğinde ilk başta Saraydan gelen bir harem ağa heyeti inceler güzel ve akıllı bulduklarını saraya alınır. Bunu aynı şekilde Kuzey Afrika coğrafyasındanda örnekleri mevcut olup ama oradaki ahali Müslüman olduğu için Avrupa, Balkanlar ve Kafkaslar kadar çok olmamıştır. Osmanlı mülküne girmiş topraklardan ise sürekli köle almak diye birşey yoktur o sadece zafer kazanıldıktan sonra 1 den fazla kızı olan hanelerden alınmaktadır.
