@MountainRugCleaning Whereas this restoration project was indeed and truly impressive I wouldn't call my own work impressive. Just a thought.
I’m glad to see you wearing a mask during this clean. Mould spores are no joke and your health is super important!

A real shout out to the manufacturers of those rugs. They are incredibly durable to take such a beating. Amazing work James. You are too modest.
So unbelievably tough polypropylene rug but very bad for the environment
@Mountain Rug Cleaning is that why it cleaned up so nicely?
@@MountainRugCleaningwhich is why it's so great you're doing the "reuse" part of reduce, reuse, and recycle! Most stuff that can be recycled isn't anyway 😢

Astounding how well it keeps the colour despite the years of neglect and intense cleaning process. Almost hypnotic how the pattern emerges from beneath the soil.
It's like a painting being revealed
if it's synthetic fibers, i dont see why it wouldnt look brand new after cleaning.
This is redemption rather than cleaning. support you with my heart. Keep goin this beautiful works.
There was a bit of anxiety watching this video... that one little yellow square refused to give up it's dirt patch, but you were able to get it clean. Beautiful job as always 😊
I searched to see who else noticed the yellow square 😂
I was looking for a comment that would notice that too lmaoooo
@@itsandiemusic Here I am, doing the saaaaaame.
I, too, was upset by the stain on the yellow patch.
I also felt this 😂😅
Gotta love a channel that knows what the people want! Slow-mo squeegee? Done. Close-ups? Done. Satisfaction? Done.
Watching other people work can be very restful.. and this has the right balance of technique, speed, and effect. Adding the explanations in text also helps immensely.
It's interesting to see it cleaned but I have to think all this effort to clean a rug is not cost-effective to the owners - you can get a rug like this for maybe $30-40, thats about 5 minutes of labor.
Making another rug dirty himself to make another video for you? Done
People want everything!
Googly eyes on tools? Done
I LOVE the explanations of what materials and tools you were using, when, and why!!! As satisfying as this content is even without additional info, I love learning about the process!! It also really helps shine a light on exactly how much knowledge and experience you have, and explains why there are so many steps that, without the captions, would have looked (to an untrained eye like mine lol) like the same step being repeated over and over. Great work, both on the rug and on the video!!!!
Awesome, thank you!
Seconded! That was really helpful for understanding the whole process.
YESSSS!!!!! LOOOVE THE DETAILSSSS
Bravo! You saved a rug that was ready for the landfill. You made a video showing the process and didn't gussy it up with annoying music or goofy graphics. You used clear camera views without incorporating all that dizzying jiggly camera technique. And you explained the process as you went along. No wonder so many of us are captivated by your content!
Are we sure he didn't retrieve this from a landfill? That was nuts!
The amount of water wasted and chemicals into the soil tho 🤦♀️
@@vp2885 Roll in the dirt, SJW. 🙄
@@vp2885 on another rug post they said that they rain water and that the shampoo is light, like you might use for your hair... I don't know if I entirely believe that, but that is what they said. Lol
Actually he don't. The fabric is made up with silicone, to be less static attractive to dirt. After the intense cleaning, this silicone is gone and the carpet will stain again fast.
Also he only removed the surface dirt. A few runs trough a ultrasonic bath is the minimum, to get the dirt out of the core.
I would consider this carpet only fit for outdoor use.
Really appreciated your explaining the "what and why" of the cleaning stages. Helped me understand the complexity of what needs to be done and the reason behind the costs incurred. Very good job, by the way. I didn't expect the stains on the yellow and white squares to come so completely out, but you got it done.
The only what and why I have are “what happened to this rug” and “why did the owner let it get this bad”

That first pass on the rotary machine where you see the color immediately pop out where you scrubbed. It's always so satisfying when you already see noticeable improvement.
I legit screeched -- what a change!!!
OMG!!!! The stuff you pull out of these poor rugs!!! If I were a rug, I would be screaming, "THANK YOU,THANK YOU!!!!!!
This my favorite cleaning video you have done so far. And yes, I understand how you feel using the manual brush and feeling satisfied. I think its also a wonderful thing for you to donate this rug to the school for autistic children.
Dirt Reynolds is so brave, 'going in first' and braving the true horror of the rug. He is a shining example to us all :)
R2 Clean2 is awesome as well!
@@kathywoehler9724 Yes, but my heart will always belong to 'Dirt' ❤
Wow James. This transformation is astounding. One of your best restorations yet. And as a mother of a special needs child, myself, I can deeply appreciate the awareness and the thought of donating anything to the school. Job well done!! Once again, another Friday and we are amazed!!
Thankyou very much. I think they would like a few so will be donating again.
That is absolutely wonderful! And this rug was so bright and cheerful looking. I’m sure they will love it!!
Aww James! Those kids at the school will love it! Spotless clean - awesome job 💙💙
As a special needs child, who has a mother that fights for me no matter what, is the most amazing person in my life and has helped me through the worst of times she has to do so much for my brother and I (my brothers 30, still lives at home but is trying very hard to find somewhere affordable to live, and I’m 17 I’ll be 18 in a few weeks) I’m sure you have to do so much as well and thank you so much! Your compassion is not unnoticed, I’m sure your child/children are very happy to have a wonderful mom like you even if they don’t show it sometimes. Really all I can say is thank you, even though I don’t know who you are, I’ve never met you, and you’ve never done anything for me I still know the hard work that goes into being a mother especially one’s of special needs children. Sorry for giving a preach lol, I just want to show my gratitude. Have a lovely day
If you were a good parent, you would not have let the doctor bully you into giving your newborn multi vaccines on the same day and your kid would he NORMAL
I don't even want to imagine what happened to that carpet to make it look like a literally mossy moldy blanket. Great work! Also I love how you put giant googly eyes on the machine
His name is Dirt Reynolds!
mold
It probably was sitting outside for a long time like someone probably got rid of it and just threw it outside
Prob left outside or thrown in the trash that’s how most rugs get this dirty
Based on his subs and views, id be shocked if he hasn't just bought hundreds of rugs, made a mess on them, and then let them sit for a long time, maybe even just bury it in the ground. until your ready to make a new video.
The children will get so much joy and comfort from this beautiful rug. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
That was such a transformation. I don't think you've had such a visually distinct transformation on footage before. This should be in every piece of promotional material for your company and playing on a loop in the lobby.
He has...a blck rug into a white rug
The brilliance of those colours popping out on just the first pass! Another fabulous job, James. The end result was just stunning.
The effort you guys take is above and beyond. Gold Standard. Hats off to you.
What a fun, wild rug. I would have never thought it was salvageable, and the colors are amazing.
I appreciate all the cameras you've got and the way you set them up so that we can see the work from different angles. Lots of dedication and foresight.
im glad you appreciate it. it takes quite a bit of extra work.
Мне кажется дешевле купить новый, чем столько тратить воды и моющих средств, да и оборудование тоже дорого обходится
I never would have thought that the yellow would have been the problem on this rug, especially with how bad the white parts looked. Great job!!
Absolutely AMAZING job on that rug. I am beyond impressed with how well it looks in the AFTER .... like not even the same rug!! And I like that you took some extra steps to make sure it was super clean for the receiving school. And nice thing for your customer to be donating it. Kudos to you all.
Absolutely amazing! How kind of you to donate it after all that hard work. Also, as others have said, thank you for explaining all the steps.
All the rugs at the preschool I work at were donated to us. Some were even donated from the families of student we teach. Our boss takes them all to be professionally cleaned and sanitized before he brings them into the school, so see the process is really cool. I know the process may not be exactly the same, but still neat to get a good representation of how they were (hopefully) treated before they entered our classrooms!
Hi. I’ve been following you recently, but your videos are hypnotic. I wondered why. And I did some research. It seems that seeing people clean is a relaxing practice. It is good for the soul. It rejoins healing. Seeing clean or doing clean ourselves generates the feeling of taking back that control of our life that was believed lost. So your work, as well as useful, is also therapeutic. Congratulations, keep it up.
Greetings from Italy.👍👍👍
That's also why the game Power Washer Simulator is so satisfying and relaxing.
This is by far the most extreme clean I've seen and I watch a lot of rug cleaning videos.
Amazing work!
I wasn’t expecting such a vibrant and colorful rug under all that dirt. It looks like it will be a wonderful addition to the school it’s going to.
I just love the first rotary pass, when you get a glimpse of how the rug really looks underneath. Makes you want to see it get back to that original look!
It always amazes me how you can take such a beastly dirty rug and restore it to its former beauty!! Well done! I can’t wait for the next rug cleaning video 🥰
You and me both! haha. Thankyou
This has gotta be my favorite rug cleaning video, gives details on the cleaning steps he takes and does a lot of washes so I’m never saying “wait wash it again!!” Like I do with other vids
Loving the comments throughout, explaining the process makes it all the more satisfying!!
I really love that he never misses a bit. Sometimes you watch one of these and it's like omg no! You missed this tiny corner and it bugs me the entire way through. This guy never misses even the tiniest bit, it's so relaxing
Except the large stain on the yellow part near the center...
These videos really are the definition of "trust the process". Amazing job 😊
yeah even when the problem for the “process” is intentional! these rugs aren’t even old rugs… notice there is no fraying or wear whatsoever
@@ryancarriveau87 so what if it is? no one cares, we are just here to see the rug getting cleaned, stop making a big deal out of everything

Wow! Look at all of those bright colors! Just like new again. Thank you for sharing and for also explaining each step. This is the first video I've seen where anyone detailed each step of the rug cleaning process (the what and the why).
The fact that you get the rug that ridiculously clean even before it hits the centrifuge is what puts you at the top of the rug cleaning mountain 🙌
I was here when the channel had a couple of thousand subs, and here we are - freaking 1,5 millions, and its keep going.

Wow James! This was such an amazing transformation and on such a bright and beautiful rug 😍 it was very enjoyable to watch and easily 1 of my top 5 favorite videos. Keep it up, you're killing the ASMR game! ❤️
Ahh thats awesome. Thankyou. Super glad you enjoyed it.
I love how thorough you are with this beautiful rug! I don’t think I have ever seen your catch basin/trough so full!
I’m sure this rug will be very much appreciated by the school. The bright colors will bring joy to all! Thank you for your generosity and support for kids! So satisfying to watch such an amazing transformation!
Oh thank you!
Amazing work and how you made the rug look absolutely STUNNING. Even the white sections are pristine, wow!!!
Beautiful rug! I really appreciate that you don't waste water unnecessarily. Some other rug cleaning channels make me very uncomfortable that way. They use many many thousands of litres of water like it was nothing.
I love the fact that you have added explanations to what you are doing, many videos are unfortunately silent, and even if we are not likely to do the same one day, at least we know what is happening!
Truly amazing! You did a fantastic job James!! I love, love, love that this rug is being donated to a special needs school. I know the teachers are appreciative and the students will love it 💜Hopefully they will send a picture of the kids enjoying their freshly washed just like new rug!!
as an autistic person, there's gonna be 3 groups of kids: the ones that absolutely love it and won't want to sit anywhere else, the ones who entirely ignore it, and the ones who will absolutely despise the fact that it's not symmetrical and refuse to even look at it. absolutely amazing restoration!
I have a phobia of mold and watching this helps me grow slightly more tolerant of it. I think this is my fourth time. Thanks ❤
Forget James…….. you should be called
Houdini for the magic that you performed on this most colorful carpet.
Absolutely Well Done. 👍👏😃😊👍
Love it! Haha
Mesmerizing!
Something just hit me!
I'd love to see The Big Reveal for your clients!
I always imagine the moment when clients see their brand new clean rug for the first time!
A rug cleaning where the rug wasn't purposely covered in dirt beforehand is so nice.
What a stunning rug. You certainly brought it back to life beautifully!
I don't know why it took me so long but I finally subscribed. You've been my favorite rug cleaning channel for I don't even know how long. 😆 I love that you name your machines and slap giant googly eyes on them. And your videos are just so satisfying to watch.
That was amazing. I found myself getting frustrated as it seemed like more & more dirt showed up. Glad to finally see clearer water.
Also, love the naming of your machines!
Same here. On a comparatively tiny scale, having just used rented high-suction shampooers over the years, I've experienced how things can look better looong before the extracted solution is clear. But the sheer volume of mold & soiling extracted from this piece was astonishing. Quite impressive to see it all extracted & the rug restored.
The best part of this video was the in-depth explanation of the process. It’s clear a lot of care goes into your work! Great video!
I love watching these types of videos, & I must say I enjoy this video much more than most due to you putting up on the screen what/why each step is taken! Thank you for that!
WOW! You have brought this rug back to life. Good work!
I usually watch only the time lapses, so this was my first full-length video and I’m so glad I did! I love not only getting to see a closer look into each of the steps but also learning about what each measure is meant to achieve. Learned something new, thanks!! 😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a transformation that was. You did both an amazing job at cleaning that rug and editing the video as always. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks so much! 😊
When cleaned the rug actually looked really cool! I’d like a rug with a similar pattern in my room.
can't. stop. watching.
I really love seeing when you begin that first shampoo, the vibrant colors immediately emerge. It really gives a sense of exactly how this rug looked when it was new. It also makes me wonder why anyone would allow such a vibrant rug to get into this state.
That rug is stunning! It's crazy to know it was barely recognisable as a rug before you started. The end result looks like a brand new rug!
It’s amazing how much the people at that company cared. they color enhanced it and every thing! this video goes to show how kind people can be.All those hours of hard work must of meant something.and it’s really satisfying too!
Love the overhead shots. What an accomplishment getting that one clean.
Thanks 👍
Incredible work, and super-happy to see a mask being worn, so many people don't and it always makes me cringe to think of the nasties being breathed in during the cleaning!
It all builds immunity haha. Thanks for your concern though
@@MountainRugCleaning You can’t really build immunity to mold, though, it mostly just either kills you or cures your infections. 😂
@@MountainRugCleaningPlease still be careful! While you do need exposure to germs to build immunity, there are risks. I caught pneumonia from an electrician working in my house last year. Whatever bacteria I picked up got into my lungs and I was hospitalised. I'm only in my 20s but my lungs have not been the same since, and I now get out of breath just from simple tasks. Please take care of your lungs ❤
That was a resurrection if ever I’ve seen one. I wouldn’t have thought the colors were so vibrant and bright. What a beautiful rug. Excellent job restoring it to show its true beauty. Wow!🤩
Wow 😂 you worked a miracle on this one and it came out looking soo good at the end. Beautiful rug ❤ 🎉🎉
I’m impressed that you were able to get all the stains out. The ones on the yellow had me freaking out. Awesome job!
Oh my gosh me too! Came here for this comment 😂
Was about to say this. That section wasn't clean until the very end, and that added a surprising drama to the proceedings.
You can still see the stains on the yellow and green event at the end even if barely
I like that you resumed putting screen captions about what you're doing again - I always wonder about the steps, how many rounds of regular shampoo there are, etc.
I will keep doing it on occasion
You did a great job Sire. Going the extra mile for a great cause. Which doesn't quite explain why I find these kinds of videos fascinating and relaxing? Great job.
Very cool process; thank you for keeping old rugs out of landfills!
That's probably where he got it from.
I don't understand it, but I find watching your videos extremely satisfying. I'm obviously in good company given the amount of likes & comments you receive. Thank you!
Just FYI, your videos put me to sleep ONLY because of the soothing ASMR sounds. Your content is amazing. How you bring rugs back to life and give them a while new purpose is phenomenal. Thank you for what you're doing. 😊
ohhh, I love the informational popups in this. even if I'm never personally in a position to clean a rug like this, it's still fascinating to learn why which products or tools are used and what they help accomplish. it adds something to the enjoyment of just seeing the rug get cleaned. nice work!
